Magcats are normal critters in the universe and kept as a pet, but as part of their...magcattiness, they have the ability to consume pretty much anything. Junk food will kill them, and I imagine things that would super kill a cat and/or a maggot wouldn't be good either, but otherwise let them Eat. Because this is just a biological component for them and not something that could be used to Charles's advantage, I figured that makes them count as a nonmagical animal. They're just weird. I have the coins for a magical pet, however, if you'd rather count it as that!
