We try not to discourage players from apping characters ahead of time unless we have a legitimate reason (through canon familiarity) to believe the character does not have enough canon to play or is inappropriate for the setting. In this case, it seems like Fray has a distinct voice, a concrete origin, and is not a "blank slate character;" thus, he meets most of the qualifications for appability. At the very least, submitting an app for this character would be appropriate, and we would review his suitability again at that point.

In order to give you a better idea, we would like to make sure: you intend to app "Fray"/Esteem, the dark side of the Warrior of Light, and not Fray Myste, the student alongside Sidurgu, correct?
