I want to app a character who is a shaman and hears the voices of the gods or spirits as if they are speaking in his mind. He has a particular demigod that shows up here and there to advise him, almost like a conscience. I am guessing that once in Ryslig, the character's contact with this god would be cut off completely and they are a normal human until they start to change. Is that correct?

Is that kind of ability something that can be bought with coins, or gained by joining up with the fog god or fourth god's side?

I'm thinking that the character might save up for it, then find out that when they spend the coins, they get a message from their old god saying something like "you're on your own now" and they are forced to go look at an alliance with the fourth or the fog.
