Hey mods!

I've been kicking some ideas around in my head wrt a character I'm thinking about apping and having scoured all 8 pages of the FAQ I'm pretty sure no one's asked this but you know... feel free to point me to the right place if I've managed to overlook something! Mostly just doing a little info gathering to factor into more detailed thinky thoughts down the road so... good to know if I'm barking up the wrong tree or not!

1. Historically, have there been many situations involving cults? I know some (or many?) of the human extremist groups could potentially fall under this category but I wasn't sure.

2. I'm actually not totally sure how groups that were involved in player plots are handled (like Mirage, for example). If someone (a monster) were to start actively trying to reach out to the general human population via, say, passing out flyers and holding sermons/TED talks/seminars (as an example) and doing some community outreach in general, how successful might they be in earning their trust/earning points with them? Would they be more likely to succeed if they tried to claim association with the Day/Night gods since they're known to not really do stuff like the Fog/Fourth?

3. (Or 2A, really but..) What would be the defining factor between it being a merry band of niche weirdo NPCs and legitimising itself as a relevant presence in Ryslig from an OOC standpoint, especially if the group might be one with potentially more extreme beliefs?

I'm happy to go into more details if you need them! I apologise if these are very dumb because I've never had any like big galaxy brain ideas in a game before that deals with the setting/NPCs like this, hence the questions lol!

Thanks so much guys!
