God Boons

GOD BOONS

INFORMATION

With the gods at war with each other, they offer tantalizing additional bonuses to their loyal followers -- but these also come with a few strings attached. Will you join a side, or remain neutral in the conflict?

Characters can be recruited in two ways: by the god, or by a god follower. The gods can open their realms to anyone at any time if a character wishes to enter. Followers always have access to their god's respective realms, and can bring in a recruit to swear allegiance.

The gods will not punish a character if they leave their side; that would only solidify their resolve to leave. However, they will remove any boons and bonuses they might have granted them. If the character rejoins, their status with be reset to entry level, and they will need to work their way up in the ranks once more.

HOW TO ALLY WITH A GOD AND RECEIVE BOONS

When a character completes a tier requirement, you can submit the form below to have them receive acknowledgment and rewards. Threads don't have to be finished at the time of submission, but they should be a good way through, and please don't handwave them entirely. You may request as many of the listed tier rewards as you like once you've reached the appropriate tier.

You may notice sections for "Offering Description" and "Reward Description". The table below is just a sample of the boons available and the requirements to get them. You don't have to do or ask for these exact things. You may choose to replace any of the listed deeds or rewards with an appropriate substitute of your own design, and they will be judged on an individual basis.

The gods favor certain traits and actions of their followers. The Fog God, for instance, values strength, freedom, and invoking fear in others. She highly encourages her children to live freely, without the inhibitions of human society. Some examples can include demonstrating the power of monsters to frighten the human populace, killing a rival in revenge, disrupting a serious occasion just for the hell of it, or generally doing things without caring for the consequences.

On the other hand, the Fourth God values cunning, subterfuge, and control. His priorities lie in furthering the technology of the peninsula, introducing progress to the world, and standing up against the Fog God. Some examples of deeds include spreading the secrets of others (especially Fog followers), manipulating monsters and/or humans to work against the Fog, or inventing some new technology.

If a character's request doesn't align enough with these ideals, their god may bestow upon them something more to their liking without warning. This is effectively an IC explanation for a request a character wouldn't make on their own. If you would like to do this, outline your request in the backfire section.

If your character wants to leave a god, you are free to do so without notice or handwave a prayer on the respective god's page. Keep in mind that leaving a god will remove all previously gained boons!

THE FOG GOD
The Fog God, so they say, is a usurper of the Day and Night gods popularly worshipped on the peninsula. It is she who brings in unsuspecting souls from other worlds and warps their bodies into monstrous forms. She is capricious and becomes jealous easily. She enjoys the chaos that currently plagues Ryslig -- both watching and causing it. It would mean the universe to her if her monsters would go out and cause some discord of their own.

Worship and Pray to the Fog

THE FOURTH GOD
The Fourth God is an artificial god created by Dr. Liewen, in an effort to make a being strong enough to combat the Fog. He was imprisoned and isolated by the Fog God, until the actions of her monsters allowed him to be freed. He now possesses a burning hatred for her and her followers, and will stop at nothing to destroy her. He is calculating and distant, and desires control of the peninsula.

Worship and Pray to the Fourth

THE KEY TO DYSTER
Those who side with the Fog God will be provided with a silver key, old and dull fog-silver. It fits in any lock, no matter the style, and opening a door with it will bring them to Dyster. They will be greeted by the people of the town, who are more than happy to see them. Here, they can stay for as long as they want, and partake in the feasting.

This is not the Dyster some arrivals may remember, and people who try to visit it on the peninsula proper will find an empty ghost town. The people in Dyster don't seem quite dead or alive, but they treat any follower of the Fog God like royalty, and they will eagerly accept new followers in their fold. They will provide them with a more than willing human sacrifice if the monster is hungry. It will calm their hunger but not indefinitely.

Those who stay for periods of time in the city may feel an unnatural loyalty to the Fog God and her cause, to the point of worship. Characters can leave by using the key against any door in town, and return to where they had first entered.
THE ARCADE'S KEYCARD
Those who side with the Fourth God will be provided an unusually modern-looking plastic card. There's no writing on the front or the back, but there is a hologram of rainbow hues on a black background that flashes wildly when the card is moved around. Insert the card on the side of a door like a slot, and they will be transported to the Arcade when they open it.

They will arrive in the grand atrium of an enormous mall and entertainment complex, all in glowing neon and glassy linoleum. Technology from various different time periods is available here, up through the early 1990s – matching the day-glo transparent-plastic aesthetic. The TVs and video games, film reels in the giant-screen theater and ballroom-sized-ball-pit balls, cannot be removed from the complex, which rivals Dyster in size, and the only shopfronts with merchandise seem to be the food court, which is free, and run by robots. It's a significant upgrade from the seedy arcade it was, before October 2022 gave the Fourth God a boost. However, the same set of large red curtains can be found, behind which lies a sterile looking room full of seated humans with strange visors who will not respond to any sort of stimuli. There is a large basin towards the back filled with water, and any time a human is killed or fed on a robot will enter and clean the area.

Those who stay for periods of time in the Arcade may feel an unnatural loyalty to the Fourth God and his cause, to the point of camaraderie. Characters can leave by pressing the card against a door and return to where they had first entered.
RESURRECTION

Loyal followers may resurrect in their god’s domain, rather than where their life ended. When they choose to leave, their god will return them to a safe place on the peninsula (at the player's discretion).

To a follower's guests, the environs may seem strange, but no harm shall come to those who awaken here. They're welcome to stay a while to recuperate, but a permanent residency would be frowned upon; eventually, they may find themselves guided out of this realm, returning back to Ryslig somewhere safe - and sometimes just within reach of the person who protected them in the first place.

TIER ONE

Tier one boons are small, and are mainly a way for the gods to give their converts a taste of what they can offer. These rewards are immediately available to anyone who pledges themselves to a god. When initially pledging to a god, it is not necessary to submit a prayer--though, if you would like to handwave a prayer, you are free to do so. Therefore, it is not necessary to include an offering for this tier.

FOG
A minor power appropriate to the Fog God (think fear, strength, destruction)

Smallest rooms in Dyster (a single bed, no window)

Resurrecting inside Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

A small aesthetic body modification tailored towards fear and intimidation (e.g. extra/bigger teeth, red/scarier eyes, claws if your monster doesn’t already have them)

An instinctive knowledge of how many days they have left before the hunger overtakes them
LIEWEN
A minor spell appropriate to the Fourth God (think stealth, control, invasion)

Smallest rooms in the arcade (barely a bed and a radio, you can hear the arcade outside)

Resurrecting inside the arcade after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

A small aesthetic cybernetic body modification (e.g. wires, circuit boards, Tron lines)

A death counter plugin on their PC that has a little image of their head with an x00 number of lives lost next to it. If a character were to die more than 99 times, it would simply start over.

TIER TWO

Tier two boons are larger, and are the first true rewards for doing a god's bidding. It represents a character being ready to dedicate themselves to a god's cause. A character might reach tier two by sacrificing a human to their god, successfully converting a neutral character, or performing public deeds in the name of their god. They also must be a follower for at least a month.

FOG
A second power appropriate to the Fog God

A bigger room in Dyster (queen-size bed, windows, storage)

Instant resurrection in Dyster after being killed.

A major body modification (e.g. flightless wings, large horns, extra limbs)

Taking on a new way to feed (flesh, energy, souls). This doesn’t replace your old one, but gives you a second option.
LIEWEN
A second spell appropriate to the Fourth God

A bigger room in the arcade (soundproof, larger, queen-sized bed)

Instant resurrection in the arcade after being killed

A modified fog form. While an alternate form assumed during fog days is available to everyone, a Fourth follower’s fog form may include cybernetic limbs or other changes appropriate to Fourth. This is a result of the Fourth God attempting to remove the Fog’s influence.

Extending the protection of the arcade to a neutral character of the follower’s choosing. That character, upon death, will resurrect in the Arcade after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days). He will never protect a Fog follower.

TIER THREE

You're getting serious. You've got your sleeves firmly rolled up and however much blood you get on your hands in the process, so be it. You've done your action and maybe you balked a little at first, but now that you know what it really takes, you're still all-in.

Tier three rewards are for truly devout followers, and it takes a great act to appease the gods enough to get here. Such acts might include a mass sacrifice of people, the successful conversion of an opposing follower, or killing an opposing follower. (Keep in mind that killing or sacrificing in self-defense, or for their own reasons, does not count - it must be expressly done for their god!)

FOG
A third major power, appropriate to the Fog God

A house in Dyster (the works)

Immortality. Only destroying the brain or the heart can kill a tier three Fog follower.

A new, alternate monster form, subject to mod approval. Some examples would include having a beefed-up fog form (go wild on the horror!), or switching at will to a closely related monster type (e.g. gargoyles into dragons).

Exchanging the cybernetic modification imparted by the Fourth God for an aesthetic monstrous modification of your choice. Please see common monster traits for details about the cybernetic modification.

Increased ferocity and strength and lowered inhibitions while in fog form.

Extending the protection of Dyster to a neutral character of the follower’s choosing. That character, upon death, will resurrect in Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days). She will never protect a Fourth follower.
LIEWEN
A third major spell, appropriate to the Fourth God

A large room in the arcade (the works)

Instantly resurrect via static in any TV or radio of your choice.

The ability to teleport from one location to another using radios. Monsters only have to touch the radio, and imagine the location where they wish to go. Note that the target location also needs a radio that is turned on.

You can regenerate missing limbs or other body parts while in the arcade, but this will take some time, is painful, and the resulting parts may have a cybernetic look to them.

Removing the biological need for conventional food (not humans), sleep, or even breathing.

Immunity to the memory loss incurred from multiple deaths. This is not a perfect reward, as Fourth is not a true god and has a higher rate of error for difficult abilities. (This is a loophole in case you still want to play out memory loss.)

PRIESTS

You will do anything in service of your god. You are theirs to use as they see fit. You know you're on the right side of history, and you'll do whatever is in your power to make sure your god prospers.

The priests of each god gain unique and powerful abilities. The abilities favored by each god are explained below, but you may request a different power instead if one suits you better. In order to obtain priesthood, a follower must be in tier three, and have been in Ryslig for at least four months. When asking for priesthood, please explain in great detail the lengths to which your character has gone for their god, and the deeds they have done in their name. These will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

Please do not ask in the god prayer boxes for ideas for a Priest offering. Priest offerings must be something you have OOCly devised yourself. You may submit a Priest form with an offering you have already come up with, request the relevant god somehow prompts your character to perform it, and then (if approved) ICly ask in the god prayer box to receive this prompt. However, things your character does entirely on their own initiative will be more highly looked upon by the gods as proof of their devotion and motivation, and are far more likely to qualify as a Priest offering.

FOG
Fog priests are instantly identifiable by their gray capes, made to resemble the Fog God’s long hair. The collar and hem of the cape are frayed, and when the wind blows through them it almost seems like parts of them trail off with it, like the fog itself...but that’s just a trick of the light, right?

When priests speak, their voices have a whisper behind them.

Fog priests may command the fog as they wish, bringing it forth where there is none and manipulating it around them. Gargoyles and trolls shrouded in fog need not fear the sun, and day-blind monsters have perfect vision. A character with a fog form may freely transform in this as well.
LIEWEN
Fourth priests do not have any set outfits, but they are given a unique marking on their hand when accepted by the Fourth. It may be a power symbol, a pattern of wires, or even a symbol from the character’s home world. Whatever it is, it will glow when other Fourth followers are near.

Fourth priests may temporarily stop time in their vicinity, affecting anyone who does not follow the Fourth God. They can also access the rsdos network at will without use of a laptop.

Resurrecting inside Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

Aesthetic body mod: a glowing effect that is visible externally when he uses fire magic or gets particularly aggressive ( yes, in the vein of this ).

    Character Name: Fiddleford McGucket
    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Killing two (previously) human poachers to make a point about only the Fog being allowed to make monsters. Plus, surely she's not happy about the poachers being so mean to her beloved kids. Payback is only fair.
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: 2
Reward Description: To get the easy ones out of the way: he'll be taking the better-furnished room and the instant resurrection. No bed still, but now the desk has a hutch on the back, there's a trunk for storage, and there is a little window with faded floral curtains. The important things. No extra feeding method, though. You can't beat the classics.

For a power and a body mod, it's another twofer! After discussion on plurk I've decided to keep going with the eyes tied to spells mechanic. So his body mod will be two new eyes that live on the palms of his hands. They look identical to his normal eyes, but only come out when he's actively using them (so that he can still hold things without it being really unpleasant, but look around corners without leaning around if he feels lazy). When not in use there's just a barely-noticeable seam in the scales on his hand. The seam opens to allow the eyes to pop out, like a more heavy-duty eyelid.

Much like his tier one power was tied to his two original eyes, his tier two power is going to be tied to these new eyes. Having all four open at once when gearing up to use magic turns them yellow produces a more powerful spell. Following the theme of hallucination and paranoia, he'll be able to trap anyone that looks into them in what is essentially a bad trip. The specific visions are tied to the person experiencing them but the common theme is fear and unreality. A person might experience the world around them changing to become more frightening, from darker shadows and a strange yellow light to transformation into a totally different setting that is tied to a fear or a bad memory from their past. They may find themselves terrified and distrustful of other people they encounter, liable to interpret any words as a threat or insult and any action as a potential attack. They may also find that those people have changed physically in frightening and impossible ways, from having yellow snake's eyes to all-out Ryslig-style body horror. They may even see everyone around them as a specific person they hate or fear, and even hallucinate that person pursuing them when no one else is around at all. Though nothing in their vision can actually physically harm them, they may hallucinate injury or sensation that isn't really there.

While in this state the person is still able to speak and be mobile, and will essentially be stumbling through their own little terrifying unreality while everyone else around them looks on in confusion and horror. Notably, Fiddleford can see what his victim is seeing if he is in their presence and closes his normal eyes, leaving only his hand eyes open. Like his tier one spell, he has no control over what they experience. He just makes it happen.

The spell itself only lasts for an hour after it's cast but if permissible I'd like it to have a similar flavor to his tier one spell where for about a month after the person runs the risk of having flashbacks to the hallucination. These, Fiddleford can't control or see even if they happen to happen near him. They're purely to fuck with the person experiencing them. Maybe two or three times over the course of that month, imagery and sensation from the hallucination might creep back in. It might run the gamut in terms of intensity from another full change to the person's perception or something as light as an echo of something they hallucinated hearing. Either way they will be quick flashes, a minute or less, mainly with the intention of sewing more fear and paranoia rather than rendering the person totally trapped again. Like with the tier one spell, after a month the threat of flashbacks will cease unless they get another dose of eyeballs.

Hopefully it's okay to say these ones are backdated to uh... like a month ago. Yikes. In my defense look how long that is. I slaved over a hot google doc for a month for that behemoth of a tag.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): I... don't think he'd be this detailed on his own, so I'm going to assume he gave the fog carte blanche and just asked her for something that fit his style and wasn't too big of a change physically. She delivered in a big way.

    Character Name: Javert
    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Executing Varian, a Fourth Follower, for the furtherance of the Fog's reign.
Link: Here. (CW: Teenage Execution, fire/burning)
    Reward Tier: Three
    Reward Description:
A third major power - the ability to show an opponent their darkest, worst desires. To do this, Javert needs either eye contact or physical touch. The power would force the victim to see themselves play out and act on the worst, basest, most wicked thing they have ever wanted to do (as a hallucination). This would be done with explicit player permission, and the effect would last no more than 60 seconds once per day MAX.
A house in Dyster, outfitted exactly as he would prefer. It's a dark, European-style home, with heavy window treatments to blot out the light. Rooms are modestly furnished, and the bookshelves are lined with literary and nonfiction examples of monsterkind and monster behavior, as they should behave beneath the Fog's influence. There is a master bedroom and one guest room, a kitchen with the works, and a master bath with a clawfoot soaking tub. He keeps all his most secret, delicate files in his home in Dyster, where he knows he can trust the inhabitants and his fellow followers without concern.
Immortality. Only destroying his brain or his heart will kill him. He will survive any other wounds.
Increased ferocity and strength and lowered inhibitions while in fog form. Higher inclination to give in to monstrous impulses and heinous acts during the fog.
Alternate monster form: A giant, horrifying bat monster.
Extending the protection of Dyster to Peace Gregory for her service and her role supporting Javert in his duties, professionally and emotionally.
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): He wouldn't ask for the power, but it's exactly in line with his bitter, hurt, resentful way of thinking. It's probably just The Fog God rewarding him for his increasing fervency and loyalty.

Reward Description: Fear Venom: as an optional third venom Annie has to choose she can cause paralyzing terror to overtake her victim. She however must bite them in order for it to take effect. She also would be incapable of using any other venom type for a whole 24 hours.

Smallest rooms in Dyster (a single bed, no window)

Resurrecting inside Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

Body modification: Annie's claws will glow fog gray whenever there is no natural sunlight.

An instinctive knowledge of how many days they have left before the hunger overtakes them

Character Name: Angelica | [personal profile] decarded
    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Converting a neutral character
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: 2
    Reward Description:

    • Body Modification- Increased height! I would like to increase Angelica's height by a foot, putting her at around 204cm.
    • Power- A new type of dark magic. Angelica can manifest a shadowy blade, either as a single weapon as long as a short sword or in the form of two shorter daggers. These shadow weapons do no physical damage, and appear to pass harmlessly through the body of anyone struck by them, but impart two different effects upon contact:
      • Pain, equivalent to whatever wound would have been left behind by a corporeal blade. Though no actual physical damage is done, the victim my also experience the feeling of blood on their skin, etc, as well.
      • An uncontrollable and extreme emotional reaction, drawn from the target's existing memories and history. Angelica has very little control over what this is, and can only determine the broadest category of emotion (ex: she can decide she wants to inflict sadness, but she has no control over whether that sadness is induced by a deeply depressing personal memory, sudden feelings of guilt over past failings, or something else). In addition, the emotional response generally has some form of debilitating effect (uncontrollable weeping or laughter, flying into a blind rage, etc). Angelica must decide what emotion she wants to induce before striking, or this will not take effect.
Neither of these effects lasts for longer than 30 minutes, and generally begins to fade at around 15.
    • Feeding Alternative- Connected to the above, Angelica will gain the ability to feed on the emotional energy generated from this spell. Like any other form of energy feeding, it will be potentially possible for her to drain the victim to death. Feeding this way will also enhance her ability to experience emotion herself, but only with regards to the emotion she fed upon, and only for a short time.
    • A bigger room in Dyster
    • Instant resurrection in Dyster

    Character Name: Ash Williams
    Alignment: Fourth
    Offering Description: Joining the Fourth.
    Link: N/A
    Reward Tier: 1

Reward Description: In addition to all the normal Tier One stuff:

Minor Spell - Ash will be able to temporarily interface with electronic/mechanical objects with his right arm. The object cannot weigh more than ten pounds (eg: it must be able to be carried by an average human). The object's functionality is limited to its original functions--for example, a chainsaw will only be able to saw, and a toaster will only be able to toast bread. The unfortunate part is that this object remains solid even when he's invisible or intangible, so he'll have to leave it behind if he tries to pass through any walls.

Aesthetic Modification - Ash's body, regardless of what form he takes, will have scanlines that looks similar to what might be present on an old CRT screen, with mild chromatic aberration on the edges.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): Ash wouldn't ask for any of this, because...he really doesn't know what joining up with a God really means. I'm just running with the assumption that this happens regardless of whether he wants to or not. But it would be funny if he wasn't able to choose what object would attach to his arm.

    [personal profile] terribibble 2020-10-20 09:02 am (UTC)(link)
    Character Name: Fiddleford McGucket
    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Hacking the Fourth god and taking back the power that was stolen from her, with the express intent to return it to her. It escaped but thought that counts, right?
Link: We didn't play out the actual hacking, but I'm assuming the confession post tied to the mini-event is proof enough!
    Reward Tier: Three
    Reward Description:

If possible I'd like to slightly amend a past power; it hasn't been used in game yet so I hope that's okay. His past powers are tied to his eyes: his first tier spell is tied to the eyes on his head, and I'd like to amend his second tier power to being solely related to the eyes on his hands. Combining them is what produces the tier three spell. When this spell is in use all four eyes glow blue. If you get the impression that these powers all synergize and build on each other, that's absolutely the idea!

His past powers have only allowed him to manipulate a person's perception without any actual real world repercussions or control. With this spell he'll actually be able to manifest something real. He'll essentially create around him a bubble of unreality extending about twice the length of his own tail when straight (so a fifty foot radius in all directions, small enough to not be too overpowered but big enough to pose a real threat). He'll only be able to create one at a time; the bubble is tied to him, is not mobile, and if he leaves it once it's created the spell breaks. The point is that he won't want to leave it, because while inside it he has control over the environment in much the same way he was able to control the dream during the latter half of the Kaijune event. Anyone trapped inside with him will experience real harm should they be injured by something conjured by the bubble. If you die in the bubble you die in real life!

Notably, anyone trapped can leave it by walking outside of the radius, but once inside they won't actually be able to see where the edge is. They will believe the entire world has changed. From the outside the bubble is visible and the things happening inside it are also visible, though heavily distorted, like you're looking at them through an oil bubble. If someone decides to purposefully go in... like... why? but they theoretically could.

Environmental damage will not carry over to the real world once the bubble pops and nothing created within the bubble can leave it. The absolute maximum amount of time the bubble can last is an hour and the longer Fiddleford maintains it the more effort it will take. If he were to run out the hour time limit by the end he'd mostly just be concentrating on not letting it pop. It will also be more difficult to maintain the more people are inside; that's a lot of fears and paranoias for one bubble to contain and manipulate. In the case of a dense crowd for instance there's no way he could manage a full hour; a five minute estimate is generous.

For the new monster form, he will become a sea serpent. He'll gain webbed hands and fins to go along with his gills he bought from Mana. If possible I would like to combine the increased power and ferocity with this instead of his fog form; the sea monster form will be larger and more imposing as well as more prone to aggression and territorial feelings than his normal snake form. Don't go in the water!

Immortality is good as-is (he'll be grateful for less chances to die and lose his memories), but at this time he will NOT be taking the house in Dyster. He's fine with his little study space. That may change later. He also will not be using the neutral protection, as he doesn't have anyone who he thinks would accept it.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): Once again I don't think he'd be this detailed about things; if anything he might ask for a boon to make the winter a little more bearable, resulting in the sea serpent form since mers are a little more resistant to cold (he won't actually lose his weakness to cold, but it's the thought that counts. She's trying). He'd also tell her that he's sorry his plan didn't go as well as he wanted and they couldn't deliver her power directly back to her.

    Character Name: Daniel
    Alignment: Fourth
    Offering Description: Joining up
    Link: N/A
    Reward Tier: 1
Reward Description: In additional to all the normal tier 1 stuff:

Minor power: The ability to give his emotions to another person. Once a day, Daniel will be able to force a person to feel exactly what he's feeling, e.g., if he's afraid, he'll make them afraid, if he's happy, he'll make them happy. While using this ability, Daniel will temporarily lose his ability to feel the emotion in question. The duration is five minutes.

Body mod: While using this ability, all the veins in his body will glow blue and branch out like circuit boards.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): N/A

    Offering Description: Pledging dedication
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: One
    Reward Description:

"I'd like to be able to be better adapted to being in water! You know, like..."

A minor power: The ability to hold his breath for up to 15 minutes.

A small aesthetic body modification: Nictitating eyelids that allow him to keep his eyes open underwater and act as natural sunglasses. They're kinda creepy because they look completely black from a distance.

Also, he doesn't ask for this by name, but he'll get this anyway:

An instinctive knowledge of how many days they have left before the hunger hits
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): None!

    Character Name: Rafe Adler
    Alignment: Fourth
    Offering Description: Offering allegiance.
    Link: Here. (in progress)
    Reward Tier: 1
    Reward Description:
Arcade room: a back room, with an overturned trashcan side-table holding the radio and a thin mattress on an army cot behind a row of broken (and immovable) game consoles acting as a pseudo-wall/privacy screen

Resurrecting inside the arcade after 2-3 days

A death counter plugin on their PC

A small aesthetic cybernetic body modification: inlaid gold circuitry patterns on his left shoulder blade and extending to the triceps of his disconnected left arm.

A minor spell: Shadow Camoflauge— the ability to become invisible in low light/shadows/darkness to all forms of vision such as troll/naga heat-vision or were/gargoyle night-vision. This ability is unable to be used in daylight/well-lit areas and can be dispelled by directing a beam of light (i.e. a flashlight, switching on an overhead light) at Rafe.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): Rafe appreciates the low profile the Fourth has taken as opposed to the Fog followers that have acted over the few months. As such, he'll stress that his work for the Fourth will have to be quiet and discreet, in order to best arrange conditions and shore up enough power for them to effectively take on the Fog God when the time is right — big stick, walking softly, that whole shebang. Elias will take this as a literal good idea and grant him this spell as a way to help Rafe continue in this manner. Because honestly, if it were up to Rafe, he would ask for a strength/power kind of ability that'd be more useful in direct head-to-head combat situations because a lich is downright twinky in comparison to say, a gargoyle or minotaur and he is not a fan of that.

    Character Name: Javert
    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Javert has been a loyal and dedicated servant to the Fog since the day he pledged. He has given herself to her cause as he sees it. He maintains the order and runs La Forteresse with her name and her intentions in mind. He killed Varian and besmirched his own reputation for the sake of her desires for monster-kind. He has referred to the Fog consistently since May as the sole authority over Monsters and Ryslig. Most recently, he has gone far enough to instigate a mass hypnosis event (“City of Sin”) in which every human and monster’s most wicked qualities took the center stage. The hypnosis was done to illustrate that everyone is a Fog-borne beast, with humans the most beastly and awful creatures of all. He is demonstrably willing to die for these beliefs, so as to rid himself of the last shreds of humanity and live unburdened as a free Monster beneath the Fog God’s sinister hand. Lastly, he refuses to lie on Her behalf, and paints her only as her true, unbridled, unconstrained self, lacking entirely in pretty euphemisms and palatable elevator pitches.
Link: Plot is Here. Javert top-level is here. More links can be provided upon request.
    Reward Tier: PRIEST!
    Reward Description:
A Rad-As-Hell Fog Coat. This coat should resemble his usual style, except both the collar and the hemline brushing his ankles will be frayed. When the wind blows, his coat will trail off into the mists.
A whisper behind his voice. If possible, I would like this reward to be semi-controlled; the whisper behind his voice would emerge during times of extreme viciousness and heightened emotion or for intimidation purposes. He can turn it off when he is exercising his tightest composure.
Command of the Fog at Will. The fog will follow wherever he goes. I would really love his fog ability to also blot out the light and bring about shadow and darkness where there is none, especially during daylight. I’m imagining it like conjuring a dark storm cloud in his immediate area, no bigger than a city square block. I understand if there are limitations to this!
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): As always, Javert asks for nothing in return for his service. None of his rewards will be things he really wants.

Also, please, mods, feel free to sit on this until the event is over!

    Character Name: Wilhuff Tarkin
    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Joining after being converted by Javert
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: 1
    Reward Description:
The newbie works, Dyster Key + small room + hunger countdown + resurrection perks

    Body modification:
A long black tongue, to suit a man who preaches fear.

    Power:
Short range spell(?) cast via pheromones (breathed into the air) that inflicts a fear effect on the victim, who becomes convinced that they’re being stalked or hunted by something. That something, whether it’s Tarkin himself or a personal fear is entirely up to player discretion.

Illusions can include the sound of footsteps trailing behind the victim, twigs snapping, heavy breathing, etc whatever suits the imaginary hunter in question.

I have no idea what a suitable duration for this spell/ability would be? But I imagine it may be washed off or have limited/to no effectiveness in the rain.

(So if someone responds to stress exactly like they’re in a horror movie, by taking a relaxing bath/shower they'll be just fine.)

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly):
He wouldn’t ask for any of this explicitly, he'd just vaguely make a request for the power to do her will efficiently.

    Offering Description: Recruited.
Link: Here. Kind of halted but definitely talked out. The gist is that Reira brought him in due to his grief over Narancia and the idea that he was told he'd be okay by the Fourth.
    Reward Tier: Tier 1
Reward Description: All the Tier 1 stuff. For the spell, he basically just said something involving lie detection. The bodymods are in his fingernails - they change color based on emotion.
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): The lie detection is linked to licking people. He has to lick people to see if they're lying. He's not thrilled about that.

    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: A dead body and a watch
    Link: Here.
Reward Tier: Priest (but this is a Tier 2 ability)
Reward Description: As discussed here, I am retroactively asking for Aunamee's head to turn into a pile of floating glass. The glass would be able to shift and float, but it wouldn't be capable of attacking anyone and it could still feel pain. Specific pieces of glass would be responsible for his sight and hearing, but they'd look indistinguishable from the other pieces.
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): He won't ask for it specifically, but it'll just... happen to him when he becomes a lich again.

    Alignment: Fog God
    Offering Description: Joining.
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: Tier 1
Reward Description: All tier 1 items
Body Modification: Claws appear to be made of solid gold. Purely cosmetic, they feel like normal claws when touched.
Minor Power: A Laying On of Hands:
The proposal would be that once a day Morg would be able to lay hands upon a victim, who would lose all inhibitions, amplifying their wants and desires beyond their ability to control them. For example, someone who was angry and wanted to fight or attack would feel an overwhelming need to do so. People would feel more inclined to give in to "baser" desires, such as a need to hunt or feed.
This effect would last for an hour or until they'd satisfied the want.
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): He wouldn't ask for any of this, he'd ask for the ability to control others and this is an Alternative and a reminder to continue "shedding the shackles" of before.

    Character Name: Rachel Gardner

Offering Description: Allegiance, but since this is because Aunamee likes her rather than any real interest in or any reverence for the Fog herself, I honestly do not know if Ray qualifies.
Link: n/a, based on actions from her last time in game.
    Reward Tier: Tier 1
    Reward Description:
Usual tier 1 things, with the return of her aesthetic mod of "breathing" out a harmless, foggy mist regardless of temperature and relevant organs.
If she's accepted as a Fog follower despite not super caring about the Fog herself, I think her power would be much more general than before, like a slight strength increase to where even as a slime, she can interact with things as if she actually had muscles without putting a lot of thought and effort into it.
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): Not being accepted would sure be a backfire if that's the case lmao

    Offering Description: Joining up!
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: Tier 1
Reward Description: Ended up joining literally right before the intended time in which I would like to give Yuzu a Monster Change... so in all likelihood, anything related to her being a Shade won't end up lasting long. So, I'll just account for everything.

No bod mod for Shade. Upon monster change, I would like Yuzu's eyes to glow whenever she's using a mana reward/god boon ability.

For her Minor Spell, I would like her to have a minor healing ability? How it works aesthetically would change depending on what kind of monster she is. Ex: Gargoyle = Healing Flames, Merperson = Healing Water or a Healing Kiss, etc. Currently only capable of healing small wounds.

Offering Description: Monster sacrifices, making a big ol' portal to "free people from the Fog's domain"
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: Second
    Reward Description:
    - A second spell appropriate to the Fourth god: Daniel will gain the ability to gradually flood people with guilt. At first, the guilt will come in quick flashes of intrusive images, highlighting one particular event that a character regrets. Eventually, the guilt will be strong enough to lead to hallucinations and the character "reliving" the event in question. The only way to stop the spell is to a) wait it out for three hours or b) confess to someone about what they've done.
    - A bigger room in the arcade (soundproof, larger, queen-sized bed)
    - Instant resurrection in the arcade after being killed
