God Boons

◉ NAVIGATION

GOD BOONS

INFORMATION

With the gods at war with each other, they offer tantalizing additional bonuses to their loyal followers -- but these also come with a few strings attached. Will you join a side, or remain neutral in the conflict?

Characters can be recruited in two ways: by the god, or by a god follower. The gods can open their realms to anyone at any time if a character wishes to enter. Followers always have access to their god's respective realms, and can bring in a recruit to swear allegiance.

The gods will not punish a character if they leave their side; that would only solidify their resolve to leave. However, they will remove any boons and bonuses they might have granted them. If the character rejoins, their status with be reset to entry level, and they will need to work their way up in the ranks once more.

HOW TO ALLY WITH A GOD AND RECEIVE BOONS

When a character completes a tier requirement, you can submit the form below to have them receive acknowledgment and rewards. Threads don't have to be finished at the time of submission, but they should be a good way through, and please don't handwave them entirely. You may request as many of the listed tier rewards as you like once you've reached the appropriate tier.

You may notice sections for "Offering Description" and "Reward Description". The table below is just a sample of the boons available and the requirements to get them. You don't have to do or ask for these exact things. You may choose to replace any of the listed deeds or rewards with an appropriate substitute of your own design, and they will be judged on an individual basis.

The gods favor certain traits and actions of their followers. The Fog God, for instance, values strength, freedom, and invoking fear in others. She highly encourages her children to live freely, without the inhibitions of human society. Some examples can include demonstrating the power of monsters to frighten the human populace, killing a rival in revenge, disrupting a serious occasion just for the hell of it, or generally doing things without caring for the consequences.

On the other hand, the Fourth God values cunning, subterfuge, and control. His priorities lie in furthering the technology of the peninsula, introducing progress to the world, and standing up against the Fog God. Some examples of deeds include spreading the secrets of others (especially Fog followers), manipulating monsters and/or humans to work against the Fog, or inventing some new technology.

If a character's request doesn't align enough with these ideals, their god may bestow upon them something more to their liking without warning. This is effectively an IC explanation for a request a character wouldn't make on their own. If you would like to do this, outline your request in the backfire section.

If your character wants to leave a god, you are free to do so without notice or handwave a prayer on the respective god's page. Keep in mind that leaving a god will remove all previously gained boons!

THE FOG GOD
The Fog God, so they say, is a usurper of the Day and Night gods popularly worshipped on the peninsula. It is she who brings in unsuspecting souls from other worlds and warps their bodies into monstrous forms. She is capricious and becomes jealous easily. She enjoys the chaos that currently plagues Ryslig -- both watching and causing it. It would mean the universe to her if her monsters would go out and cause some discord of their own.

Worship and Pray to the Fog

THE FOURTH GOD
The Fourth God is an artificial god created by Dr. Liewen, in an effort to make a being strong enough to combat the Fog. He was imprisoned and isolated by the Fog God, until the actions of her monsters allowed him to be freed. He now possesses a burning hatred for her and her followers, and will stop at nothing to destroy her. He is calculating and distant, and desires control of the peninsula.

Worship and Pray to the Fourth

THE KEY TO DYSTER
Those who side with the Fog God will be provided with a silver key, old and dull fog-silver. It fits in any lock, no matter the style, and opening a door with it will bring them to Dyster. They will be greeted by the people of the town, who are more than happy to see them. Here, they can stay for as long as they want, and partake in the feasting.

This is not the Dyster some arrivals may remember, and people who try to visit it on the peninsula proper will find an empty ghost town. The people in Dyster don't seem quite dead or alive, but they treat any follower of the Fog God like royalty, and they will eagerly accept new followers in their fold. They will provide them with a more than willing human sacrifice if the monster is hungry. It will calm their hunger but not indefinitely.

Those who stay for periods of time in the city may feel an unnatural loyalty to the Fog God and her cause, to the point of worship. Characters can leave by using the key against any door in town, and return to where they had first entered.
THE ARCADE'S KEYCARD
Those who side with the Fourth God will be provided an unusually modern-looking plastic card. There's no writing on the front or the back, but there is a hologram of rainbow hues on a black background that flashes wildly when the card is moved around. Insert the card on the side of a door like a slot, and they will be transported to the Arcade when they open it.

They will arrive in the grand atrium of an enormous mall and entertainment complex, all in glowing neon and glassy linoleum. Technology from various different time periods is available here, up through the early 1990s – matching the day-glo transparent-plastic aesthetic. The TVs and video games, film reels in the giant-screen theater and ballroom-sized-ball-pit balls, cannot be removed from the complex, which rivals Dyster in size, and the only shopfronts with merchandise seem to be the food court, which is free, and run by robots. It's a significant upgrade from the seedy arcade it was, before October 2022 gave the Fourth God a boost. However, the same set of large red curtains can be found, behind which lies a sterile looking room full of seated humans with strange visors who will not respond to any sort of stimuli. There is a large basin towards the back filled with water, and any time a human is killed or fed on a robot will enter and clean the area.

Those who stay for periods of time in the Arcade may feel an unnatural loyalty to the Fourth God and his cause, to the point of camaraderie. Characters can leave by pressing the card against a door and return to where they had first entered.
RESURRECTION

Loyal followers may resurrect in their god’s domain, rather than where their life ended. When they choose to leave, their god will return them to a safe place on the peninsula (at the player's discretion).

To a follower's guests, the environs may seem strange, but no harm shall come to those who awaken here. They're welcome to stay a while to recuperate, but a permanent residency would be frowned upon; eventually, they may find themselves guided out of this realm, returning back to Ryslig somewhere safe - and sometimes just within reach of the person who protected them in the first place.

TIER ONE

Tier one boons are small, and are mainly a way for the gods to give their converts a taste of what they can offer. These rewards are immediately available to anyone who pledges themselves to a god. When initially pledging to a god, it is not necessary to submit a prayer--though, if you would like to handwave a prayer, you are free to do so. Therefore, it is not necessary to include an offering for this tier.

FOG
A minor power appropriate to the Fog God (think fear, strength, destruction)

Smallest rooms in Dyster (a single bed, no window)

Resurrecting inside Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

A small aesthetic body modification tailored towards fear and intimidation (e.g. extra/bigger teeth, red/scarier eyes, claws if your monster doesn’t already have them)

An instinctive knowledge of how many days they have left before the hunger overtakes them
LIEWEN
A minor spell appropriate to the Fourth God (think stealth, control, invasion)

Smallest rooms in the arcade (barely a bed and a radio, you can hear the arcade outside)

Resurrecting inside the arcade after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

A small aesthetic cybernetic body modification (e.g. wires, circuit boards, Tron lines)

A death counter plugin on their PC that has a little image of their head with an x00 number of lives lost next to it. If a character were to die more than 99 times, it would simply start over.

TIER TWO

Tier two boons are larger, and are the first true rewards for doing a god's bidding. It represents a character being ready to dedicate themselves to a god's cause. A character might reach tier two by sacrificing a human to their god, successfully converting a neutral character, or performing public deeds in the name of their god. They also must be a follower for at least a month.

FOG
A second power appropriate to the Fog God

A bigger room in Dyster (queen-size bed, windows, storage)

Instant resurrection in Dyster after being killed.

A major body modification (e.g. flightless wings, large horns, extra limbs)

Taking on a new way to feed (flesh, energy, souls). This doesn’t replace your old one, but gives you a second option.
LIEWEN
A second spell appropriate to the Fourth God

A bigger room in the arcade (soundproof, larger, queen-sized bed)

Instant resurrection in the arcade after being killed

A modified fog form. While an alternate form assumed during fog days is available to everyone, a Fourth follower’s fog form may include cybernetic limbs or other changes appropriate to Fourth. This is a result of the Fourth God attempting to remove the Fog’s influence.

Extending the protection of the arcade to a neutral character of the follower’s choosing. That character, upon death, will resurrect in the Arcade after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days). He will never protect a Fog follower.

TIER THREE

You're getting serious. You've got your sleeves firmly rolled up and however much blood you get on your hands in the process, so be it. You've done your action and maybe you balked a little at first, but now that you know what it really takes, you're still all-in.

Tier three rewards are for truly devout followers, and it takes a great act to appease the gods enough to get here. Such acts might include a mass sacrifice of people, the successful conversion of an opposing follower, or killing an opposing follower. (Keep in mind that killing or sacrificing in self-defense, or for their own reasons, does not count - it must be expressly done for their god!)

FOG
A third major power, appropriate to the Fog God

A house in Dyster (the works)

Immortality. Only destroying the brain or the heart can kill a tier three Fog follower.

A new, alternate monster form, subject to mod approval. Some examples would include having a beefed-up fog form (go wild on the horror!), or switching at will to a closely related monster type (e.g. gargoyles into dragons).

Exchanging the cybernetic modification imparted by the Fourth God for an aesthetic monstrous modification of your choice. Please see common monster traits for details about the cybernetic modification.

Increased ferocity and strength and lowered inhibitions while in fog form.

Extending the protection of Dyster to a neutral character of the follower’s choosing. That character, upon death, will resurrect in Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days). She will never protect a Fourth follower.
LIEWEN
A third major spell, appropriate to the Fourth God

A large room in the arcade (the works)

Instantly resurrect via static in any TV or radio of your choice.

The ability to teleport from one location to another using radios. Monsters only have to touch the radio, and imagine the location where they wish to go. Note that the target location also needs a radio that is turned on.

You can regenerate missing limbs or other body parts while in the arcade, but this will take some time, is painful, and the resulting parts may have a cybernetic look to them.

Removing the biological need for conventional food (not humans), sleep, or even breathing.

Immunity to the memory loss incurred from multiple deaths. This is not a perfect reward, as Fourth is not a true god and has a higher rate of error for difficult abilities. (This is a loophole in case you still want to play out memory loss.)

PRIESTS

You will do anything in service of your god. You are theirs to use as they see fit. You know you're on the right side of history, and you'll do whatever is in your power to make sure your god prospers.

The priests of each god gain unique and powerful abilities. The abilities favored by each god are explained below, but you may request a different power instead if one suits you better. In order to obtain priesthood, a follower must be in tier three, and have been in Ryslig for at least four months. When asking for priesthood, please explain in great detail the lengths to which your character has gone for their god, and the deeds they have done in their name. These will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

Please do not ask in the god prayer boxes for ideas for a Priest offering. Priest offerings must be something you have OOCly devised yourself. You may submit a Priest form with an offering you have already come up with, request the relevant god somehow prompts your character to perform it, and then (if approved) ICly ask in the god prayer box to receive this prompt. However, things your character does entirely on their own initiative will be more highly looked upon by the gods as proof of their devotion and motivation, and are far more likely to qualify as a Priest offering.

FOG
Fog priests are instantly identifiable by their gray capes, made to resemble the Fog God’s long hair. The collar and hem of the cape are frayed, and when the wind blows through them it almost seems like parts of them trail off with it, like the fog itself...but that’s just a trick of the light, right?

When priests speak, their voices have a whisper behind them.

Fog priests may command the fog as they wish, bringing it forth where there is none and manipulating it around them. Gargoyles and trolls shrouded in fog need not fear the sun, and day-blind monsters have perfect vision. A character with a fog form may freely transform in this as well.
LIEWEN
Fourth priests do not have any set outfits, but they are given a unique marking on their hand when accepted by the Fourth. It may be a power symbol, a pattern of wires, or even a symbol from the character’s home world. Whatever it is, it will glow when other Fourth followers are near.

Fourth priests may temporarily stop time in their vicinity, affecting anyone who does not follow the Fourth God. They can also access the rsdos network at will without use of a laptop.

As the character Gabe was extending his neutral protection to dropped a while back, I'd like to mark Montgomery Rhodes as the neutral character he's now extending that to :)

Character Name: Jiang Cheng
Alignment: Fourth - Level 1
Offering Description: Jiang Cheng was part of Beat's Fourthie group in March getting the vacuums from Haftesal, which counts as a tier 2 quest. More recently, he has been very proactive in Felfri coming up with training plans and exercises (and brainstorming with Otto who did the actual science work, to come up with an armored trout mascot to amp up laser tag training), fighting on the front lines & commanding a team.
Link: the heist itself and lead-up threads prayer
Reward Tier: Level 2
Reward Description:
Second spell: Puppeteering powers working on both humans and monsters. He can basically "hack" into the electric signals of the nervous system and brain to remote control body parts/limbs of his victim. The person is still fully conscious and aware what is happening but can't stop it like a puppet having its strings pulled. Limited to a total of an hour a day. Part of his electricity power set I'm building (his electric static brain fog field being his level 1) though he lacks the scientific knowledge to understand it as such.

Cybernetic mods for fog form: Rain check on that. He only just got perma changed from Sim to manticore, he needs more time to make his peace with going partially cybernetic again

Character Name: Otto Octavius
Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: A (handwaved) prayer. For future reference, Otto did some work for E+L in Felfri, crafting armor for the conscripts and remodeling a weird trout animatronic into a laser tag training exercise obstacle in collaboration with Jiang Cheng, which might be enough for Tier 2 in a month? Let me know if it's not, and I'll try to weasel in some extra work for Elias in Ryslig.

Reward Description:

Character Name: Yuzu Hiiragi
Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: Performing her duties as an E+L Conscript in Felfri
Link: Here. These are the toplevel prompts I made for when Yuzu conscripted up.
Reward Tier: Tier 2
Reward Description:
Second Spell: Upgrade Healing from the Tier 1 spell to this one. She can heal serious wounds faster and more effectively. I leave the limit of her healing ability to you mods.

Minor Spell: In place of the healing becoming the Tier 2 spell, Yuzu's Tier 1 spell will instead become Minor Illusions. Yuzu can create a sound or image of an object or person within her range (30 feet). Sound volume can range from a whisper to a scream, and can even mimic voices, be it her own or someone else's voice. In the case of creating an image, she cannot create any images that are larger than a five-foot cube. The image cannot create sound outside of any sound that Yuzu explicitly provides, light, smell, or any other sensory effect. Physical interaction with the image will reveal it to be an illusion, as things can pass through it. Disguises using this spell are possible, but physical inspection will still reveal the illusion.

- A bigger room in the arcade (the works)

- Instant resurrection in the arcade after being killed

- The ability to extend her protection to a Neutral character of Yuzu's choosing.

Backfire:
Minor Illusion: Creating illusions of regular animals that move like animals is possible, but if Yuzu creates an image of a person, be it a monster or a human, it can only be controlled and moved by mimicking Yuzu's body movements. Additionally, creating a sound illusion of a voice requires Yuzu to speak the words out loud, which mutes Yuzu's voice for the duration of the illusion.

Healing: Yuzu cannot heal herself with this ability. Only others.

Character Name: Gabriel Rhodes
Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Gabriel has worked hard for the Fog. He joined early in his Ryslig tenure, consumed with gratitude to the Fog, and quickly pushed himself to his second tier by performing a mass sacrifice of tagevalgten. When called upon by the Fog, he cut off his own arm to help seal the breach. He has made various offerings (1, 2), sacrificed day and night priests in her name by
skinning them alive, turning some of them into a gift for the Fog
, and even bombed the cube in her name with others. Most recently, he carried out the red haze ritual, and claimed it in her name after dying to make sure the plan went off and humans were reminded that even if the Fog is weakened, they should still fear her wrath.

Reward Description: Usual sign-on bonuses--resurrecting in the Arcade regardless of Fog periods, aesthetic body mod, death count plugin. He's got a home, so he doesn't think of requesting a room. What he's hoping for is an ability to circumvent one (1) aspect of being a Shade, which is shorting out technology. He will be buying a permanent species change, but IC-ly he has no idea when he'll be able to do that (OOC-ly it'll be January, if all goes well), so he's going on the assumption he'll be a Shade for the foreseeable.

It's absolutely negotiable, though, both IC and OOC.

Character Name: Otto Octavius
Alignment: Currently Fourth - Tier 1
Offering Description: It was clarified in the recent Felfri FAQ that actions benefiting the respective god could be used to get to Tier 2, provided one month was spent in Tier 1. Therefore, Otto is now cashing in! He conscripted to E+L and spent about three weeks crafting armor and other defensive things for fellows. He also took an obnoxious fur-bearing trout animatronic off Jiang Cheng's hands and modified it to serve as a training dummy of sorts for new recruits. (He would have requested the promotion in a prayer to Elias, but I know y'all are busy, so let's handwave that altogether.)
Link: Felfri shenanigans
Reward Tier: Tier 2!
Reward Description:
- Instant resurrection in the arcade after being killed
- A modified Fog Form with cybernetic limbs
- Extending the protection of the arcade to a neutral character. Otto will be giving this protection to Chiaki Nanami for now, in OOC agreement with Chiaki's player. Should Chiaki ever pledge to a god, I'll report back here with a different candidate.
- Here comes the tricky one: A second spell. Is it possible to create a small barrier that functions like a protective dome? Five foot radius, max. I'm thinking one minute per day as usage limit, or otherwise we could limit it to 'three hits from a monster causes it to shatter' or something like that. Whatever sounds more fair in the practical sense!
(Otto doesn't need the bigger room in the Arcade. He'll keep the smaller one.)
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): The Fog Form is not something he requested, especially since he didn't have a Fog Form until now. It's just going to happen.

Leo can only open these kinds of portals twice a day (for a ten minute duration each time) when holding a weapon to channel the energy through. He can only really pass items through the portals or reach through to grab things himself. People cannot go through it.
-A small aesthetic cybernetic body modification: His natural markings glow in the dark akin to Tron lines no matter where is he. Awful Ninja Time.

softspokenlandlord: (fogform4)

[personal profile] softspokenlandlord 2023-01-25 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
Character Name: Ryou Bakura
Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Ryou's relationship with the Fog has been...tenuous at best. His initial pledge was under duress, and he didn't trust her to do anything but give him the power he asked for. Even when he went through with some rather tame Fog-mandated intimidation with Atem, he was still only doing it for, quite honestly, himself. At this level, he was still dubious on telling people to join a god unless they were careful. But the turning point for Ryou was his tier 3 act of fealty.

This was the first time he understood the Fog God's hatred of humans. For a very long time after this, Ryou had come to accept that even if monsters weren't built to feed on humankind, they would feed on each other. It was a hard-learned lesson, and it stuck with him for a long time, making him less likely to care about the plight of the Ryslig human population. From that point, he began to spend time talking to the Fog God more often, although his conversations with her were clumsy at best, trying to understand her and sympathize. Over time, and consistent Dyster exposure, Ryou became a pretty loyal follower, and more openly suggests taking the Fog's power versus Elias's, if someone wants a quick level-up. He still doesn't fully trust her, and he's pretty clear that any pledging is at the loyal monster's risk.

But...he wasn't in it just for the power anymore. He's in it because he trusts her to take care of him.

Which brings us to Felfri...an event that really screwed with Ryou's head. Not only did he go through AM torture, but it threw into sharp relief that Ryou really doesn't feel at home in his human body, surrounded by danger that he can't protect himself from. Like it or not, for him, being a monster has become such a normal part of his life that he freaked out being a human, moreso after being constantly hurt for about a day.

Anyway, coming out of that, Ryou could tell that the Fog had been diminished by Elias and his followers, due to their antics. And seeing as he is a vengeance ghost and also dating a vengeance ghost obsessed with keeping things balanced, Ryou came to the conclusion that he couldn't just sit back and let this stand. While in part it was to gain power, the majority of the Shades of Our Lives event was formulated with the intention of destabilizing the Fourth God and his followers, even if it meant that Ryou had to use himself as a conduit to try and make it happen.

His perfect intention had been to force monstrous vengeance on Elias and disrupt his thoughts, as well as punish the Fourth followers who had been the whole reason for which the Fog's power had been screwed up. He's loyal to his god, and he'll do what he has to in order to keep her powered up. She's the only remaining god of the Ryslig peninsula that wasn't made by stealing power. Elias's existence is by her strength and with it, he chooses to harm monsters who already have to deal with monthly harm, not all of which is the fault of the Fog God. Eat shit, computer god. Fall of your horse. Given the opportunity, Ryou would rip the Fog's power right out of that cold, dead body in the Arcade, if he even knew it existed.

(Admittedly, Felfri leading to Ryou getting tortured tipped his despair scales and made everything way easier, oops!)

By allowing the Fog to use his body as a conduit, Ryou hopes that he was able to give her the power she needs to put the Fourth God down once and for all. Probably not...but his heart was in the right place. And it is extremely on-brand of Ryou Bakura to sacrifice himself for someone he's invested in, so hey! There's that!

Link: Some supplementary links below, just little tidbits, but the main ones are above:
- Ryou admitting he killed the bad humans oh no
- Decrying Felfri and Fourth Follower sympathy as hypocrisy
Reward Tier: Priest
Reward Description: Shadow Master - Ryou's body, which is already easy to manipulate into a solid form through practice and experience, will now serve as a type of container for his shadows, which can now extend from his form in a radius of about 20 ft around him without draining his abilities any more than usual. The shadows also default to forming eyes and mouths when extended, adding to the Fog Mandated Fear Factor of this boon. It's a little bit of a mix between Pride's (FMA) form, and Lucy's (Elfen Leid) vectors! My reasoning for him being able to extend the shadows in this manner is because it's a native shade ability to shapeshift and use tendrils, but beefed up!

The shadows default to this kind of appearance, and remain black whether he solidifies the edges or not. It takes just as much energy as usual to solidify these shadows, but when solid they can be used to form a cutting edge. Hence the teeth, for example.

Due to this being a priest boon, I would like to request that 2 of the eyes which he can form like this be able to see. Regardless of how many vestigial or functional eyes Ryou forms, and whether they can see or not, the eyes will be just as vulnerable as regular eyes.

To put it simply, Ryou's solid form will, for all intents and purposes, appear as a "container" for some wackadoodle and highly aggressive, terror-inducing shadows which can be used to harm physically via cutting/biting, and he has pretty good reach. Also he can create two functional eyes out of that mess.

Since his body has been designated container, it'll make it easier for him to do this shadow stuff in alternate monster forms, if that's permissible!

Finally, he gets the voice whispers, and the priest cloak. The priest basics, naturally.

I will accept any alterations or limitations that ye mods see fit!

Character Name: Rachel Gardner
Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: Allegiance despite her dislike, and promise of future, mutually beneficial anti-fog schemes.
Link: Here.
Reward Tier: 1
Reward Description:
- Smallest room in the arcade (which she would suggest/consent to being guarded/her being actively supervised by a personal security bot constantly while within the arcade.)

- Resurrecting inside the arcade after 2-3 days.

- While in a form with fingernails, circuit board nails, more vibes.

- PC death counter.

She is explicitly rejecting any additional power/spell at this time, saying she plans to earn it, and hopes that it can be a small sign of good faith (especially after joining up with him was just exploited for petty arcade damage during the shade event).

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): n/a, but sorry fog mom and tier 2 bennies

Character Name: Nagito Komaeda
Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Joining! But also his favorite seashells from his collection, incense, and a bowl of rice offered at the Lake Dala shrine.
Link: Prayer (handwaved).
Reward Tier: Tier 1
Reward Description: Everything!
  • Minor power would be a chance-based dice rolled buff as discussed here, allowing Komaeda to gain enhanced strength, speed, agility, or more potent merperson venom upon spell activation (4 objects must be thrown, can be anything). Which buff he gets will be determined by a roll mods provide, with those subsequent roll requests being made under this boon request in the future, whenever applicable.
  • Small aesthetic body modification in the form of thicker skin and denser scales.

  • Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly):
  • Komaeda would request the buffs normally, but since he can't have all of them at the same time, they would instead be given to him based on chance to determine which one he gets per spell use.
  • For the aesthetic change, Komaeda will wish he was "tougher", and the Fog will interpret this as giving him thicker skin and more dense scales.

    Character Name: Chiaki Nanami
    Alignment: Fog
    Offering Description: Pledge of service
    Link: Prayer.
    Reward Tier: Tier 1
    Reward Description:

    - Smallest room in Dyster
    - Resurrecting in Dyster after 2-3 days
    - Instinctive knowledge of how many days left before the hunger overtakes her

    - Small aesthetic change: whites of her eyes (when applicable) turn gray

    - Minor power: Character Reselect - Once per day, Nanami may make one minor aesthetic change to her body. This may be either a small modification no larger than her fist (such as horns) or one change that applies to her entire body uniformly (such as a color change or gender change). The change will wear off after 24 hours if Nanami does not undo the change herself.

    Character Name: Yuuna Yuuki
    Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: Pledging her loyalty and a small gift of rice.
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: Tier One
    Reward Description:

    - Smallest room
    - Death counter
    - Resurrection in the Arcade after 2-3 days
    - Aesthetic mod: A glowing red tattoo of a sakura flower on her hand, think pulsing neon.
    - Minor Spell: An additional affect for her mer singing voice. The ability to cause someone who hears it has to answer a question truthfully. This effect only can activate once per day. For humans it lasts about five minutes after hearing the song or for five questions asked by her whichever comes first. For other monsters, it drops to one minute after hearing the song or one question whichever comes first. Anyone, human or monster, can avoid telling the truth by refusing to answer since there's no compulsion to answer and the question has to be asked by Yuuna herself. It's fragile enough that if she loses concentration or the person is subjected to pain the effect leaves.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): The song effect obviously will only come into effect after she gains that ability. I would also like that the additional restraints are kept even if they're not necessary for the truth song spell to be accepted, for my own comfort.

    Character Name: Emily Grey
    Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: During Ryou's shade event, Atem and Nanami spearheaded the "invasion" of the Arcade. Wanting to defend the Arcade/Elias/the general concept of humanity > Monsters, Emily overloaded the laser on one of the security robots and took advantage of the shade weakness to light to kill both of them. Atem is a Fog priest and Nanami pledged Fourth solely to get into the Arcade and wreak havoc, so they needed killin'. (Or that's what Emily would think about Nanami if she knew IC what was up, which she doesn't.)

She also recruited Kanade just before Mari dropped her. So, There Was An Attempt.

    Link: MURDER MURDER MURDER, recruiting
    Reward Tier: Tier 3
    Reward Description:

-A third major spell, appropriate to the Fourth God: Emily discovered while being a partial shade that telekinesis is awesome, so she would like that, please.

-Removing the biological need for sleep.
-A large room in the arcade (the works).
-Instantly resurrect via static in any TV or radio.
-The ability to teleport from one location to another using radios.
    -Arcade body part regeneration.
-Immunity to the memory loss incurred from multiple deaths.

    Character Name: the Ring-Spirit
    Alignment: Fog

Offering Description: During the Shade-ening Event: grateful to be one with the shadows again, RS was inspired to go kill a Fourthie as a thank-you to the Fog; as a result, he kills (and is killed by) a Fourth follower, as well as harassing a couple neutrals in Her name

Link: Whole thread-group including top-level. Just the murders thread.

    Reward Tier: Tier 3

    Reward Description:
    - [cw: mouth/teeth] exchanging Fourth-optional mod for an aesthetic Fog mod: losing the "4" tattoo on his hand, in exchange for a single row of human teeth on his tongue
    - Immortality. Only destroying the brain or the heart can kill a tier three Fog follower.
    - Tier 3 Power: "Dark Energy" Blast as discussed here (ETA: it has come to my attention the youtube link there no longer works; this is the closest analog to the original video I can find at this time.)
    - Dyster House: half-underground, as seen here (it's basically a small Ancient Egyptian temple but with a Japanese-style apartment where the sanctuary goes)
    - Dyster Resurrection for a Neutral (Jonathan Joestar)

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly):
    - Increased ferocity and strength and lowered inhibitions while in fog form.
ETA: - enhanced fog form: increased size, all feathers save the underside of his wings turn iridescent-black and appear to drip with an ethereal black substance (the dripping has no solidity, it's just a Look)

    Character Name: Shoka Sakurane
    Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: While in Felfri, Shoka performed the duties expected of her as an E+L conscript, and later was able to convince Nanami to abandon her Fog-assigned mission and join E+L as well.
    Link: Felfri TL, recruiting Nanami
    Reward Tier: Two
    Reward Description:

  • Medium Spell: The ability to summon a familiar of sorts: a flight-capable mechanical bird, similar to the robotic swallow form she could take while in Felfri. Shoka is capable of seeing, hearing, and speaking through the bird once it has been summoned. Doing so takes concentration, and she is vulnerable while controlling it; any multitasking done while giving it orders may cause it to make errors as well (flying to the wrong destination, for example). It has no combat ability (beyond an ineffectual pecking attack) and is far better suited to spying and sending messages. Sustaining any damage will cause it to be immediately dispelled, and it then must be summoned again from wherever Shoka herself is.

  • Bigger room in the Arcade

  • Instant resurrection in the Arcade upon death

  • Modified fog form (I'll come back to this when I think of something!)

  • Protection extension (TBD on this one as well!)

  • Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): N/A

    Character Name: Katurian Katurian
    Alignment: Fourth
    Offering Description: Joining up!
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: First
    Reward Description:

    • A minor spell: The ability to "scan" humans for traumatic events that could happen to them in the future. These events will come to him in brief flashes/premonitions, and can only occur when he's hungry. (It won't function when he's full.) This ability will not apply to monsters.

    • Smallest rooms in the arcade

    • Resurrecting inside the arcade after 2-3 days

    • A small aesthetic cybernetic body modification: The words that make up his head will be a blue-ish color, like this.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): For the minor spell, he will have asked for something to make it easier for him to find the right person to feed on!
