God Boons

GOD BOONS

INFORMATION

With the gods at war with each other, they offer tantalizing additional bonuses to their loyal followers -- but these also come with a few strings attached. Will you join a side, or remain neutral in the conflict?

Characters can be recruited in two ways: by the god, or by a god follower. The gods can open their realms to anyone at any time if a character wishes to enter. Followers always have access to their god's respective realms, and can bring in a recruit to swear allegiance.

The gods will not punish a character if they leave their side; that would only solidify their resolve to leave. However, they will remove any boons and bonuses they might have granted them. If the character rejoins, their status with be reset to entry level, and they will need to work their way up in the ranks once more.

HOW TO ALLY WITH A GOD AND RECEIVE BOONS

When a character completes a tier requirement, you can submit the form below to have them receive acknowledgment and rewards. Threads don't have to be finished at the time of submission, but they should be a good way through, and please don't handwave them entirely. You may request as many of the listed tier rewards as you like once you've reached the appropriate tier.

You may notice sections for "Offering Description" and "Reward Description". The table below is just a sample of the boons available and the requirements to get them. You don't have to do or ask for these exact things. You may choose to replace any of the listed deeds or rewards with an appropriate substitute of your own design, and they will be judged on an individual basis.

The gods favor certain traits and actions of their followers. The Fog God, for instance, values strength, freedom, and invoking fear in others. She highly encourages her children to live freely, without the inhibitions of human society. Some examples can include demonstrating the power of monsters to frighten the human populace, killing a rival in revenge, disrupting a serious occasion just for the hell of it, or generally doing things without caring for the consequences.

On the other hand, the Fourth God values cunning, subterfuge, and control. His priorities lie in furthering the technology of the peninsula, introducing progress to the world, and standing up against the Fog God. Some examples of deeds include spreading the secrets of others (especially Fog followers), manipulating monsters and/or humans to work against the Fog, or inventing some new technology.

If a character's request doesn't align enough with these ideals, their god may bestow upon them something more to their liking without warning. This is effectively an IC explanation for a request a character wouldn't make on their own. If you would like to do this, outline your request in the backfire section.

If your character wants to leave a god, you are free to do so without notice or handwave a prayer on the respective god's page. Keep in mind that leaving a god will remove all previously gained boons!

THE FOG GOD
The Fog God, so they say, is a usurper of the Day and Night gods popularly worshipped on the peninsula. It is she who brings in unsuspecting souls from other worlds and warps their bodies into monstrous forms. She is capricious and becomes jealous easily. She enjoys the chaos that currently plagues Ryslig -- both watching and causing it. It would mean the universe to her if her monsters would go out and cause some discord of their own.

Worship and Pray to the Fog

THE FOURTH GOD
The Fourth God is an artificial god created by Dr. Liewen, in an effort to make a being strong enough to combat the Fog. He was imprisoned and isolated by the Fog God, until the actions of her monsters allowed him to be freed. He now possesses a burning hatred for her and her followers, and will stop at nothing to destroy her. He is calculating and distant, and desires control of the peninsula.

Worship and Pray to the Fourth

THE KEY TO DYSTER
Those who side with the Fog God will be provided with a silver key, old and dull fog-silver. It fits in any lock, no matter the style, and opening a door with it will bring them to Dyster. They will be greeted by the people of the town, who are more than happy to see them. Here, they can stay for as long as they want, and partake in the feasting.

This is not the Dyster some arrivals may remember, and people who try to visit it on the peninsula proper will find an empty ghost town. The people in Dyster don't seem quite dead or alive, but they treat any follower of the Fog God like royalty, and they will eagerly accept new followers in their fold. They will provide them with a more than willing human sacrifice if the monster is hungry. It will calm their hunger but not indefinitely.

Those who stay for periods of time in the city may feel an unnatural loyalty to the Fog God and her cause, to the point of worship. Characters can leave by using the key against any door in town, and return to where they had first entered.
THE ARCADE'S KEYCARD
Those who side with the Fourth God will be provided an unusually modern-looking plastic card. There's no writing on the front or the back, but there is a hologram of rainbow hues on a black background that flashes wildly when the card is moved around. Insert the card on the side of a door like a slot, and they will be transported to the Arcade when they open it.

They will arrive in the grand atrium of an enormous mall and entertainment complex, all in glowing neon and glassy linoleum. Technology from various different time periods is available here, up through the early 1990s – matching the day-glo transparent-plastic aesthetic. The TVs and video games, film reels in the giant-screen theater and ballroom-sized-ball-pit balls, cannot be removed from the complex, which rivals Dyster in size, and the only shopfronts with merchandise seem to be the food court, which is free, and run by robots. It's a significant upgrade from the seedy arcade it was, before October 2022 gave the Fourth God a boost. However, the same set of large red curtains can be found, behind which lies a sterile looking room full of seated humans with strange visors who will not respond to any sort of stimuli. There is a large basin towards the back filled with water, and any time a human is killed or fed on a robot will enter and clean the area.

Those who stay for periods of time in the Arcade may feel an unnatural loyalty to the Fourth God and his cause, to the point of camaraderie. Characters can leave by pressing the card against a door and return to where they had first entered.
RESURRECTION

Loyal followers may resurrect in their god’s domain, rather than where their life ended. When they choose to leave, their god will return them to a safe place on the peninsula (at the player's discretion).

To a follower's guests, the environs may seem strange, but no harm shall come to those who awaken here. They're welcome to stay a while to recuperate, but a permanent residency would be frowned upon; eventually, they may find themselves guided out of this realm, returning back to Ryslig somewhere safe - and sometimes just within reach of the person who protected them in the first place.

TIER ONE

Tier one boons are small, and are mainly a way for the gods to give their converts a taste of what they can offer. These rewards are immediately available to anyone who pledges themselves to a god. When initially pledging to a god, it is not necessary to submit a prayer--though, if you would like to handwave a prayer, you are free to do so. Therefore, it is not necessary to include an offering for this tier.

FOG
A minor power appropriate to the Fog God (think fear, strength, destruction)

Smallest rooms in Dyster (a single bed, no window)

Resurrecting inside Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

A small aesthetic body modification tailored towards fear and intimidation (e.g. extra/bigger teeth, red/scarier eyes, claws if your monster doesn’t already have them)

An instinctive knowledge of how many days they have left before the hunger overtakes them
LIEWEN
A minor spell appropriate to the Fourth God (think stealth, control, invasion)

Smallest rooms in the arcade (barely a bed and a radio, you can hear the arcade outside)

Resurrecting inside the arcade after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

A small aesthetic cybernetic body modification (e.g. wires, circuit boards, Tron lines)

A death counter plugin on their PC that has a little image of their head with an x00 number of lives lost next to it. If a character were to die more than 99 times, it would simply start over.

TIER TWO

Tier two boons are larger, and are the first true rewards for doing a god's bidding. It represents a character being ready to dedicate themselves to a god's cause. A character might reach tier two by sacrificing a human to their god, successfully converting a neutral character, or performing public deeds in the name of their god. They also must be a follower for at least a month.

FOG
A second power appropriate to the Fog God

A bigger room in Dyster (queen-size bed, windows, storage)

Instant resurrection in Dyster after being killed.

A major body modification (e.g. flightless wings, large horns, extra limbs)

Taking on a new way to feed (flesh, energy, souls). This doesn’t replace your old one, but gives you a second option.
LIEWEN
A second spell appropriate to the Fourth God

A bigger room in the arcade (soundproof, larger, queen-sized bed)

Instant resurrection in the arcade after being killed

A modified fog form. While an alternate form assumed during fog days is available to everyone, a Fourth follower’s fog form may include cybernetic limbs or other changes appropriate to Fourth. This is a result of the Fourth God attempting to remove the Fog’s influence.

Extending the protection of the arcade to a neutral character of the follower’s choosing. That character, upon death, will resurrect in the Arcade after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days). He will never protect a Fog follower.

TIER THREE

You're getting serious. You've got your sleeves firmly rolled up and however much blood you get on your hands in the process, so be it. You've done your action and maybe you balked a little at first, but now that you know what it really takes, you're still all-in.

Tier three rewards are for truly devout followers, and it takes a great act to appease the gods enough to get here. Such acts might include a mass sacrifice of people, the successful conversion of an opposing follower, or killing an opposing follower. (Keep in mind that killing or sacrificing in self-defense, or for their own reasons, does not count - it must be expressly done for their god!)

FOG
A third major power, appropriate to the Fog God

A house in Dyster (the works)

Immortality. Only destroying the brain or the heart can kill a tier three Fog follower.

A new, alternate monster form, subject to mod approval. Some examples would include having a beefed-up fog form (go wild on the horror!), or switching at will to a closely related monster type (e.g. gargoyles into dragons).

Exchanging the cybernetic modification imparted by the Fourth God for an aesthetic monstrous modification of your choice. Please see common monster traits for details about the cybernetic modification.

Increased ferocity and strength and lowered inhibitions while in fog form.

Extending the protection of Dyster to a neutral character of the follower’s choosing. That character, upon death, will resurrect in Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days). She will never protect a Fourth follower.
LIEWEN
A third major spell, appropriate to the Fourth God

A large room in the arcade (the works)

Instantly resurrect via static in any TV or radio of your choice.

The ability to teleport from one location to another using radios. Monsters only have to touch the radio, and imagine the location where they wish to go. Note that the target location also needs a radio that is turned on.

You can regenerate missing limbs or other body parts while in the arcade, but this will take some time, is painful, and the resulting parts may have a cybernetic look to them.

Removing the biological need for conventional food (not humans), sleep, or even breathing.

Immunity to the memory loss incurred from multiple deaths. This is not a perfect reward, as Fourth is not a true god and has a higher rate of error for difficult abilities. (This is a loophole in case you still want to play out memory loss.)

PRIESTS

You will do anything in service of your god. You are theirs to use as they see fit. You know you're on the right side of history, and you'll do whatever is in your power to make sure your god prospers.

The priests of each god gain unique and powerful abilities. The abilities favored by each god are explained below, but you may request a different power instead if one suits you better. In order to obtain priesthood, a follower must be in tier three, and have been in Ryslig for at least four months. When asking for priesthood, please explain in great detail the lengths to which your character has gone for their god, and the deeds they have done in their name. These will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

Please do not ask in the god prayer boxes for ideas for a Priest offering. Priest offerings must be something you have OOCly devised yourself. You may submit a Priest form with an offering you have already come up with, request the relevant god somehow prompts your character to perform it, and then (if approved) ICly ask in the god prayer box to receive this prompt. However, things your character does entirely on their own initiative will be more highly looked upon by the gods as proof of their devotion and motivation, and are far more likely to qualify as a Priest offering.

FOG
Fog priests are instantly identifiable by their gray capes, made to resemble the Fog God’s long hair. The collar and hem of the cape are frayed, and when the wind blows through them it almost seems like parts of them trail off with it, like the fog itself...but that’s just a trick of the light, right?

When priests speak, their voices have a whisper behind them.

Fog priests may command the fog as they wish, bringing it forth where there is none and manipulating it around them. Gargoyles and trolls shrouded in fog need not fear the sun, and day-blind monsters have perfect vision. A character with a fog form may freely transform in this as well.
LIEWEN
Fourth priests do not have any set outfits, but they are given a unique marking on their hand when accepted by the Fourth. It may be a power symbol, a pattern of wires, or even a symbol from the character’s home world. Whatever it is, it will glow when other Fourth followers are near.

Fourth priests may temporarily stop time in their vicinity, affecting anyone who does not follow the Fourth God. They can also access the rsdos network at will without use of a laptop.

Character Name: Jataro Kemuri
Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Joining!
Link: A letter from Jataro and Nagisa talking with Amanda. Joining either from an invitation from the Fog God if she'd extend one in reply to his letter, or through Amanda taking them herself. They would have joined around March second or third!
Reward Tier: One!
Reward Description: Everything, though if possible we'd like Nagisa and Jataro to be able to room together. If that's not possible, a room of his own is fine!

Minor Ability: Hydrokinesis! While he'd really just ask for a way to fight for her and protect his friends, he's a mer so using water to do so would work best for him. He can only control a small amount of water for a short amount of time (a decalitre for up to an hour a day, cumulatively? So he can control it for a minute at a time, or twenty minutes if he's carrying it a long distance for example, but no matter what no more than an hour per day), but he can bend it to his will however he likes (moving it around, letting it take form in basic shapes, using it like water balloons bc what is being mature with your god-granted powers?). It's only water that's around him, he cannot create his own water.

Body Mod: Bigger, sharper teeth. Fish based though I haven't decided what fish yet.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): N/A!

SPELL REQUEST finally does this after forever

[personal profile] shikosuki 2017-03-27 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, I finally figured one out! Hope it's ok to just respond here with it:

Choromatsu will be able to cast a small force field around himself and one or possibly two others close to him (like, "we are squeezed under an umbrella together" level of close) that turns him (and the others) almost completely transparent for a short period of time (I'm thinking 5 minutes but I'll let you guys decide on length). It's enough for him to be sneaky with it, but also to get himself (or someone else, like say, a dumb brother for instance) out of a tight jam if he needs to. Since he's not COMPLETELY transparent, if someone stared long enough they could see him, but he'd be pretty undetectable for the most part. I am thinking of putting a "once a day" limit on this but I leave it up to you guys the exact limitations.

If the "practically invisible" part is too OP I am also fine with this being a protective kind of shield like power instead.

[Not long after Eddie's conversation with Marco, he's visited in a dream. The environment around him looks not unlike a certain arcade game, one featuring dots and ghosts. It's not a very detailed dream, and even the words spoken to him aren't actually spoken; he just knows what's being communicated to him.

You know how dreams are.]

I'm sorry this dream isn't as exciting as it could be.
I don't usually do this.
But thank you for saying you'll help me.

I hope we can play a game sometime.

[When Eddie wakes up, he'll find all his new boons available.]

Re: QUESTIONS

[personal profile] selfbegot 2017-04-11 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
HEY HEY, just some questions since Madoka's going from Wendigo to Demon!

So Madoka, as a fog priestess, needs to retool her swag to fit from Wendigo to Demon. Basically, I'm going from "fear" to "suffering" as a theme. Most aren't that major in terms of changes, but I want to make sure people are okay with them:

1) Freezing Mist (tier 1 power). This was intended to obscure wendigo madoka and cause fear/pain in others. Since Madoka's focus is changing from "fear" to "suffering," Akumadoka can now bring an acrid, gaseous fog instead. To monsters, this just smells awful, and is extremely displeasant; it can induce nausea and mild choking in humans. On top of that, the gas is flammable, and can cause explosions when combined with Madoka's demonic flames.

2) Necromancy (tier 2 power). Previously, as a meat eater, Madoka could kill humans and reanimating their corpses. However, Madoka is a soul eater now. Thus, I'm going to propose that Akumadoka can control the soulless husks of the people she feeds on with the same requirements/restrictions; as their bodies are still alive, she can even keep them alive if she so chooses by making them eat, but if they die it functions as the normal power.

3) Alternate feeding method (tier 2 boon). Instead of feeding on people's fear, she can now feed on their suffering.

4) Chest hole (tier 2 boon). Since the "empty chest" idea doesn't work with a demon like it does with a wendigo, I'm going to request that this go away. In turn, that also affects...

5) Absorption (tier 3 boon). I don't want any of the mechanics of this to actually change; I'd just like for her to withdraw "powers/emotions/etc." as a ball, similar to extracting a soul, which she can then devour. Similarly, I'd like for her feeding on suffering to use this power.

6) Alternate fog form. Instead of the massive eyes and mouths hellbeast she turns into now, Madoka transforms into a SMALLER eyes and mouths hellbeast. Specifically, she turns into a humanoid/lizardman-like thing designed after this beauty. The theme here is "inner demons" - thus her fog form grows inside Madoka's normal body during the Fog, and at her choice she can "shed" her old skin/erupt from it/clamber out from the mouth to assume her new form. However, if she doesn't shed her skin, she can still manipulate it normally from the inside.

If the mods are okay with this, I would love this alternate form at will, allowing for it to be her "true" form (with the skin design she normally wears a sort of disguise); however, I'm also fine with it just being a fog form.

WHOOPS SORRY THERE'S A LOT OF THESE OKAY BYE

Whoops! I figured that would be the case but I didn't even think to mention it...so I'm going to go with 16 and under!

I do have a question though. Is despair "fog appropriate" trait for powers? I don't know why I didn't think of this right off the bat because dangans, but if possible, I'd like to switch fear/bravery to hope/despair? So instead of minor anxiety, the person would feel a creeping sense of despair/hopelessness/futility? And then allies would just be the healing/rejuvenation thing.

SO NOW THAT LOKI'S A SLIME you probably saw this coming.

Loki's standard God Spells transfer over fine since they weren't Species Specific, but I'm presenting Slime-Equivalent 'Adept Spells' to convert over from Loki's Werebear Adept spells, and hopefully they're acceptable! I'd shove the Slime Astral Spell here as well, but I'll probably just slap that into the Slime FAQ along with every other magical thing I have to ask about

IN ANY CASE. Fourth Followers of the Adept Tier always had two spells, typically things that had the cost of extreme hunger after completion, as well as a narrow time limit. For Loki, as a Slime, I'd like for his spells to officially transition into the following once his changes are far enough:

First Spell - The ability to, once per day for a limit of two hours, divide the nucleus into four. The slime's goo is distributed equally between these four, and the nuclei are connected through a loose hive mind that allows them to act in absolute cooperation over a particular radius; the farther the slimes move from each other (Limit of Perfect Order being 44 Feet diameter, and Absolute Limit being 1 Kilometer diameter), the less cohesive they become. If even one nucleus is destroyed, taken beyond the limit, or fails to otherwise reunite with the others at the end of the time limit, the slime Dies.

Second Spell - The ability to, once per day for a limit of one hour, absorb nearby fluids or fluid-like substances (IE: Magma) as their own material. Aside from adopting the properties of such fluids (So with the Magma example, their slime would burn on contact with other objects), the Slime's ability to shapeshift and alter their apparent size grows exponentially with this. There is a limit of 4 times the Slime's original mass however, so there won't be any....Giant Lake Dala Slimes running around. Additionally, while the ability to hold cohesive shape grows, the Slime's physical strength does not, due to the fluids not being from their own self.

As a bonus, if a slime uses Human fluids through this spell, and has a somehow damaged nucleus, the fluid may be converted toward healing the nucleus instead of their size, albeit at the cost of being unable to use the spell to its full time limit for the rest of the day.

Beyond this, a question! At tier 3, monsters regenerate lost limbs and body parts with cybernetic features and such; being that Loki is now a slime, I wanted to ask if 'molten metals' along certain regions would be acceptable, given that most other alternatives involve adding solids to the form. Alternatively, could cybernetic body modifications simply 'look' solid but in fact melt down with the Slime's form?

BOON UPDATE

Annnd now that I've sorted him out, Noa's boons as well!

First, as an Adept Fog Follower, he switches out from the ability to turn into a Basilisk to the ability to become a Chimera. I'll be asking a question about those on the Manticore page, but continuing on, here are what I would like to change Noa's current boons over to, if possible-I tried to keep them as close to the original modifications and spells as I could.

Body Mod Change Overs

  • Minor Modification -> 'Split' Cheshire grin, not unlike his original naga mouth; to manifest with his fangs.

  • Major Modification -> Prehensility of the wings, to match the abilities from his 'wing-like' growths as a naga. Since Manticore have existing wings, this change manifests by altering the shape of his normal wings somewhat when they come in.

  • Tier 3 Monster Form -> Mishipeshu the 'underwater panther'. To keep from invading other monster skills, while this form can swim and hold their breath for a decent amount of time, they are not immune to water pressure or to the cold-and it doesn't even have the Bakunawa's ability to carry monsters in its mouth! (Though the scales are fairly hardy, and Noa can potentially curl himself around someone to protect them)

    Ability Change Overs

  • Tier 1 Power -> LOTS of tales concerning manticore involve it having the ability to hurl quills or spikes from the end of its tail; thus, this ability replaces Noa's power to spit venom once he has a tail to even hurl things from. (Suffice to say, either those quills will be the stinger itself, orrrrr hardened venom shot, or...idk something?)

  • Tier 2 Power -> Rather than creating fear through sound and eye contact, Noa now creates fear through silence and initial eye contact; once the meeting has been made, he must stay absolutely quiet, including his movements. For as long as he keeps any sound he makes from meeting the ears of his victim, they will begin to experience their greatest fear, manifesting first as a creeping feeling of dread and growing into full on terror the longer it lasts. If Noa can keep it up for a full ten minutes, he may well give someone a fatal heart attack!

But really, keeping Noa quiet to that extent for ten minutes? Pretty hard, especially since his victim can easily start lashing out against the hallucinations and injure Noa in the process. This is doubly tricky, as Noa must keep his eyes on his victim at all times. He may blink, of course, but he has to keep looking at them!

Noa's remaining boons remain the same, though his Dyster Home might end up with the furnishings shuffling around to better suit his eventual feline shape ahah.

    Character Name: Judai Yuki
    Alignment: Fog Follower
Offering Description: Judai has been trying to 'advertise' the Fog God throughout Bavan through a number of graffiti artworks, bringing forth some of her better points and trying to encourage people to turn to her. He's also been using these works to shame the Fourth God and neutrals in addition to using them as conversation pieces to further boost the Fog's name while talking with others.

Also the seaweed that he's been mixing in with his paint (to stop people from washing the graffiti off) was part of his own skin.

    Link: Here. and Here.
    Reward Tier: Tier 2

    Reward Description:
    - Tier 2 Spell: Upgrade Fear of the Dark to Curse of Darkness. Curse of Darkness has an 5m extra reach to it, and can be done in brighter environments without reducing the field of effect (though it is still mostly effective in the fog/night). It also forces the flight response in those affected by the fear though it can be staved off by willpower. Prolonged exposure cannot cause death but can cause minor tissue damage.
    - Replacement Tier 1 Spell: Earthbreaker: Judai can pound the ground with his limb (or head if he's being stupid) and cause a shockwave from the ground around him. Useful for knocking someone off their feet for a surprise attack.
    - A bigger room in Dyster
    - Instant resurrection in Dyster after being killed.
    - A major body modification: Large spikes protruding from his shoulders and forehead
    - Alternative feeding method: Souls
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): All his spells are technically backfires. One of these days he'll stop asking the Fog God for his powers back and not specifying.

okay with the faq question answered, would strengthening his water powers so he could control water based liquids like paint be acceptable? (this is the direction i was heading in with water control in the first place.) he'd control them similar to water (though of course couldn't just conjure them up like mers do water), and he wouldn't be able to control blood inside of a person (though maybe outside of one would be possible? not sure since this is just tier one.)

    Character Name: L Lawliet
    Alignment: Fog God
    Offering Description: Alignment!
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: One
Reward Description: L would ask for a minor power: immunity to poison, including up to one dose of arachne venom per day (or three days, or week if that's more reasonable for this tier and what constitutes a minor ability). Also putting in for the room and an instinctive knowledge of when he needs to feed next, resurrection after 3 days in Dyster, and for the small aesthetic body modification, he would ask for the wounds, scars and silver burns inflicted by AM over the last week to be wiped clear. Specifically, the one AM carved purposely to look like the letter "L" on his right side.
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): Heck no, son, scars are badass and intimidating, along with that title L held in his world. The Fog God leaves most of the scars, but the "L" is not only left in place, it's modified to be even more conspicuous, burned deeper and tattooed, in a slightly messy but still recognizable cloister black font.

    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Carrying out his mission during the Nightfall event! She asked him to infiltrate the Inquisition and help keep the fog conduits safe. While he didn't actually FIND any fog conduits (and all but one died), he did manage to convince everyone that he was neutral and helped focus the attack more on Fourth conduits instead of Fog. He kept a close eye on the network and tried to help distract and divert the neutrals where he could. He also managed to get Choromatsu to turn spy on his own god (though no useful information actually came from it) and he tried VERY HARD to find the woods conduit by talking to the trees and then attempting to use their description to trade for a Fourth conduit. (he planned to give a false description had anyone actually taken his offer) Again, it...didn't actually work but god did he try so hard. He also got Stocke to kill Yuzu, though he ended up being wrong about her being a conduit. But anything to help the focus on the Fourth conduits instead of the Fog, right?

    - Talking to the trees and then hunting for followers in an attempt to find the woods conduit. Also: turning Choromatsu spy.
    - Attempting to barter the identity of the woods conduit in exchange for the lake or park conduits' lives.
    - Nearly every thread on his inbox was him lying to neutrals and trying to get them to trust him/focus on Fourth conduits.
    - Again, trying to find the woods conduit but he was wrong about it being Amanda...
    - Putting a hit out on Yuzu with Stocke

    Reward Tier: Tier Two
    Reward Description:
-Second power: An upgrade to his Hope Pollen! He can now use it three times a day (or two, if three is too much for this tier), and will hang in the air for five minutes instead of two. It still has to be inhaled by the target/victim in order to take effect and its effects still have the same follower/age restrictions. As for a time limit...I dunno, still an hour? Hour and a half? Whatever's appropriate for this tier. For Foggies and children, it can now heal non-fatal cuts/abrasions in addition to bruises, and the rejuvenation effects are equal to a solid nap, as opposed to a coffee jump-start. For Fourthies and adults, the feeling of despair is intensified. Victims will be unable to feel any hope at all until the pollen's effect wears off and their thought processes and actions will be warped as a result. Everything will seem futile and pointless, making them unlikely to expend effort on anything and to take greater risks that may shorten their lives. Some may even be driven to minor acts of self-mutilation or beg to be murdered, it really just depends on the personality of the victim. Particularly susceptible, weak-willed humans may even go as far as to take their own life. (Though not monsters unless someone REALLY wants to play that out, I guess, but it's an understandably touchy subject so I'm just gonna assume monsters are strong enough to resist that) However, they will NOT be driven as far as committing murder or other acts of physical violence against others. Their despair will be entirely self-directed at this stage.

-A bigger room (he is absolutely going to break at least one window to let plants grow in, hope that's not a problem Fog Mom)
    -Instant Resurrection in Dyster
-Major body modification: A second pair of arms! They'll grow out of the bark on his back and basically look like skeleton arms, only the bones will be made of wood instead of calcium. Like so.
-New way to feed: Souls, which he'll suck out with the bluebells on his back vines. Ask not for whom the bluebells toll, they toll for thee
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): He wouldn't initially ask for any of this IC'ly since he considers his mission a failure because most of the conduits died. But he did report his activities to the Fog God, so if it's enough to qualify...I guess we can move on from there maybe. Or something. How do offerings even work from an ic perspective

ETA: since he won't actually HAVE his bark until next month, it'll be a while before he actually grows his extra arms. Because there's...nothing there for them to grow from at the moment. oops.

    Character Name: Jataro kemuri
    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: For his mission during the Conduit event, he manages to steal both Marco and Fiddleford's keycards (so two Priest keycards). He also killed Fiddleford with Mitsuhide under the impression that he was a Fourth Conduit. (Also making Mom a gift from Fidds' skin.)
    Link: Stealing Marco's keycard
Killing Fiddleford and later taking his keycard afterward though it isn't very far, both of these outcomes were agreed upon, and he does have permission to take the card after Fidds is dead!
    Reward Tier: 2
Reward Description: -A larger room of his own (though would he be able to request an art studio by chance, rather than a room to sleep in?)
    -Instant resurrection in Dyster.

Power: I'll come back to this when there's a verdict on his tier one ability!
Bod Mod: An extra set of arms just below his first set!
Second Feeding Method: Is the Pooka's bone marrow an option? If not, flesh!

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): N/A!
expectional: only exists to hide the fact that the computer our universe is simulated on needs time to render our environment? (ponder ☾ What if the speed of light)

This won't be relevant for a while, so feel free to take your time answering this because I'm just planning ahead here.

For the Tier 3 Fog alternate monster form, would a water nymph count as "a closely related monster type" for a Ryslig nymph? Or does the shift in element make it too drastic? Obviously I'm asking specifically for Nagisa here, since Jataro is a merperson and he'd like to be able to swim with him. He'd still be plant-based, but all of his terrestrial plants would switch to aquatic ones and some of his abilities would swap for more water-appropriate ones (like the ability to breathe underwater, that's an important one). And he'd have some other limitations to make him kind of inferior to the true water monsters. Like he wouldn't be able to swim as fast and/or dive as deep.
