[ On a dark moonless night, Chie will see two lights, distant glimmers faint in the darkness from out a window— lights that grow brighter as she looks until they make her eyes ache at the yellow light in them, it's clear they're not distant at all. They're her own eyes, reflected back at her in the glass pane. A cold breeze chills the room, ruffling her short hair— tucking a stray strand behind her ear like an aunt might, to better see her face.
