The next time Eddie is near a tv or radio, triumphant, video game like music will suddenly blare out. "RANK UP!" a childlike voice happily chimes. The electronics around him flicker on and off, seemingly in tune with Eddie's own whims. But then they all ring out once more, as if the voice had forgotten something.
"Oh, you know what? You should have a prize. A badge! You've leveled up, after all."
A tingling on his skin. Should he check his arms, he'll see the circuitry pattern begin to creep into view, glowing faintly. The pattern on his ribs soon follows. The radio and tv continue to cheer before gradually fading out.
