Hello Elias, you seem like the kind of person who's into all this high-tech stuff if it'll further your goals in some sort of way. However, Crash is no super genius. Or super spy. Building and innovating things just isn't his thing when you can just make all the mad science go boom.
But his one brain cell has learned how to make things GO.
So! This brings us to the music! He's only ever seen it used by N. Gin to subjugate a dimension's specific denizens into platformer enemies violent groupies. Doesn't seem to affect mutant bandicoots... or magical mask people.
Why Crash would hand this dangerous concept over to Elias is a good question. Why he would even allow the computer kid to jack into his brain to confirm the truth (and get a 'cleaner' audio sample) is another. After all, it's not hard to come to understand how Crash ticks.
Simple. Sure, the foundation of this offering is some evil brainwashing rock music. But Crash makes it clear he doesn't want an army of mindless thralls or "fans". That's no good! He just thinks that with some extra tweaking, it could be used to send a message. Something more subliminal yet voluntary, something positive and altruistic.
And, reading between the lines of Crash's thinking- something that could include rattling a fog follower's loyalty to their god, all while spreading good vibes among the humans. (Yeah there's a hint here for the next tier pitch.)
Elias might guess that Crash wants a lot of emphasis on Good Vibes. Only good vibes. After all, those foggies and their fanatics have been extra murderous with their parties and radio smashing, they can't let that be the loudest voice on the peninsula.
