Our apologies! After reviewing the old mod response, it looks like there may have been some miscommunication here. Allying with the Fog would allow Moira to have better results to her experiments, but that doesn't mean that she can truly understand monster genetics. As we'd already stated, it's always changing and impossible to fully grasp due to its magical nature.
What we can offer is the following: At tier 1, the Fog will allow Moira to make minor aesthetic changes to a monster, boosting most physical traits. Slightly longer fangs, slightly bigger horns, slightly sharper claws.... Or just change someone's hair color, or give them a bigger butt. Whatever she wants to do in terms of minor physical changes. She will be able to do this once a day, and the effects will last one hour. Should Moira lose this boon later, she will no longer be able to get these sorts of results, as she will not have access to the Fog's power.
We will allow, as flavor, Moira to be under the impression that she is predicting the DNA changes through the Fog's power and altering monster forms based on what she is seeing. However, the sequencing she does and the science behind it will make no sense to anyone else, essentially be gibberish, and may simply be the Fog allowing Moira to see what she wants to see. Essentially, it would never survive peer review and may not even be accurate to reality, but she is getting results.

Does that sound agreeable to you?
