a small-scale hallucination would be, for example, altering the taste, touch, smell, appearance or sound of something or someone for a few seconds. for seconds, she could probably get away with some hair or drips of blood, but sliding into a few minutes would require more sacrifice (fingernails, skin patches, broken bones, more blood, etc) the longer they last, or the more she’s creating. having a toilet overflowing would require those mid sacrifices by default, for example, because it messes with all of the senses to be effectively “real” and would need to for a good few minutes to distract someone.
larger hallucinations would either fall under regular hallucinations that last very long (1-2 hours) or a physically large hallucination, such as a dragon stomping through the streets of bavan— which would require a lot more meddling with the senses compared to the toilet. buildings need to crumble, casualties need to be had, and so on. having more than one or two-three people under these greater spells at once would be tedious and the sacrifice would be great, on top of painful. it is possible but not entirely worth it, if that makes sense! i could also use the three-point method for this, if it’s any easier to keep track where numbers are concerned.
