Regarding downsizing the preserved adept form, we're absolutely fine with that; as long as your character is also following any of the restrictions/drawbacks of the old transformation, feel free to limit it in whatever form you see fit!

Finally, as for your second question, that is correct. Their old adept form would be subject to all the old restrictions; however, they would be able to have access to those three forms.
