Those restrictions on his bird spying are fine! I completely forgot to write that in oops, but that's pretty much what I would've thought of anyway. o7

Re: metal, I was thinking that his magic ability would affect the physical form of metal. I.e. Bending, shaping, manipulating finer things like wires with less effort or concentration. He will NOT be able to do anything like spontaneously melt metal or conjure metal out of thin air, although in the former case he can probably stir around a pot of molten metal and lift a blob out without tools. He just can't melt it himself.

So in a way, it's almost akin to telekinesis. He's taking the existing state and beating things into shape. Some specific usage examples I can think of off the top of my head are:

- Turning a lock without needing a key
- Twisting a metal strut into a knot
- Loosening screws, dragging out nails etc.
- Force a sheet to crumple in a specific area (think a soda can being crushed)
