God Boons

◉ NAVIGATION

GOD BOONS

INFORMATION

With the gods at war with each other, they offer tantalizing additional bonuses to their loyal followers -- but these also come with a few strings attached. Will you join a side, or remain neutral in the conflict?

Characters can be recruited in two ways: by the god, or by a god follower. The gods can open their realms to anyone at any time if a character wishes to enter. Followers always have access to their god's respective realms, and can bring in a recruit to swear allegiance.

The gods will not punish a character if they leave their side; that would only solidify their resolve to leave. However, they will remove any boons and bonuses they might have granted them. If the character rejoins, their status with be reset to entry level, and they will need to work their way up in the ranks once more.

HOW TO ALLY WITH A GOD AND RECEIVE BOONS

When a character completes a tier requirement, you can submit the form below to have them receive acknowledgment and rewards. Threads don't have to be finished at the time of submission, but they should be a good way through, and please don't handwave them entirely. You may request as many of the listed tier rewards as you like once you've reached the appropriate tier.

You may notice sections for "Offering Description" and "Reward Description". The table below is just a sample of the boons available and the requirements to get them. You don't have to do or ask for these exact things. You may choose to replace any of the listed deeds or rewards with an appropriate substitute of your own design, and they will be judged on an individual basis.

The gods favor certain traits and actions of their followers. The Fog God, for instance, values strength, freedom, and invoking fear in others. She highly encourages her children to live freely, without the inhibitions of human society. Some examples can include demonstrating the power of monsters to frighten the human populace, killing a rival in revenge, disrupting a serious occasion just for the hell of it, or generally doing things without caring for the consequences.

On the other hand, the Fourth God values cunning, subterfuge, and control. His priorities lie in furthering the technology of the peninsula, introducing progress to the world, and standing up against the Fog God. Some examples of deeds include spreading the secrets of others (especially Fog followers), manipulating monsters and/or humans to work against the Fog, or inventing some new technology.

If a character's request doesn't align enough with these ideals, their god may bestow upon them something more to their liking without warning. This is effectively an IC explanation for a request a character wouldn't make on their own. If you would like to do this, outline your request in the backfire section.

If your character wants to leave a god, you are free to do so without notice or handwave a prayer on the respective god's page. Keep in mind that leaving a god will remove all previously gained boons!

THE FOG GOD
The Fog God, so they say, is a usurper of the Day and Night gods popularly worshipped on the peninsula. It is she who brings in unsuspecting souls from other worlds and warps their bodies into monstrous forms. She is capricious and becomes jealous easily. She enjoys the chaos that currently plagues Ryslig -- both watching and causing it. It would mean the universe to her if her monsters would go out and cause some discord of their own.

Worship and Pray to the Fog

THE FOURTH GOD
The Fourth God is an artificial god created by Dr. Liewen, in an effort to make a being strong enough to combat the Fog. He was imprisoned and isolated by the Fog God, until the actions of her monsters allowed him to be freed. He now possesses a burning hatred for her and her followers, and will stop at nothing to destroy her. He is calculating and distant, and desires control of the peninsula.

Worship and Pray to the Fourth

THE KEY TO DYSTER
Those who side with the Fog God will be provided with a silver key, old and dull fog-silver. It fits in any lock, no matter the style, and opening a door with it will bring them to Dyster. They will be greeted by the people of the town, who are more than happy to see them. Here, they can stay for as long as they want, and partake in the feasting.

This is not the Dyster some arrivals may remember, and people who try to visit it on the peninsula proper will find an empty ghost town. The people in Dyster don't seem quite dead or alive, but they treat any follower of the Fog God like royalty, and they will eagerly accept new followers in their fold. They will provide them with a more than willing human sacrifice if the monster is hungry. It will calm their hunger but not indefinitely.

Those who stay for periods of time in the city may feel an unnatural loyalty to the Fog God and her cause, to the point of worship. Characters can leave by using the key against any door in town, and return to where they had first entered.
THE ARCADE'S KEYCARD
Those who side with the Fourth God will be provided an unusually modern-looking plastic card. There's no writing on the front or the back, but there is a hologram of rainbow hues on a black background that flashes wildly when the card is moved around. Insert the card on the side of a door like a slot, and they will be transported to the Arcade when they open it.

They will arrive in the grand atrium of an enormous mall and entertainment complex, all in glowing neon and glassy linoleum. Technology from various different time periods is available here, up through the early 1990s – matching the day-glo transparent-plastic aesthetic. The TVs and video games, film reels in the giant-screen theater and ballroom-sized-ball-pit balls, cannot be removed from the complex, which rivals Dyster in size, and the only shopfronts with merchandise seem to be the food court, which is free, and run by robots. It's a significant upgrade from the seedy arcade it was, before October 2022 gave the Fourth God a boost. However, the same set of large red curtains can be found, behind which lies a sterile looking room full of seated humans with strange visors who will not respond to any sort of stimuli. There is a large basin towards the back filled with water, and any time a human is killed or fed on a robot will enter and clean the area.

Those who stay for periods of time in the Arcade may feel an unnatural loyalty to the Fourth God and his cause, to the point of camaraderie. Characters can leave by pressing the card against a door and return to where they had first entered.
RESURRECTION

Loyal followers may resurrect in their god’s domain, rather than where their life ended. When they choose to leave, their god will return them to a safe place on the peninsula (at the player's discretion).

To a follower's guests, the environs may seem strange, but no harm shall come to those who awaken here. They're welcome to stay a while to recuperate, but a permanent residency would be frowned upon; eventually, they may find themselves guided out of this realm, returning back to Ryslig somewhere safe - and sometimes just within reach of the person who protected them in the first place.

TIER ONE

Tier one boons are small, and are mainly a way for the gods to give their converts a taste of what they can offer. These rewards are immediately available to anyone who pledges themselves to a god. When initially pledging to a god, it is not necessary to submit a prayer--though, if you would like to handwave a prayer, you are free to do so. Therefore, it is not necessary to include an offering for this tier.

FOG
A minor power appropriate to the Fog God (think fear, strength, destruction)

Smallest rooms in Dyster (a single bed, no window)

Resurrecting inside Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

A small aesthetic body modification tailored towards fear and intimidation (e.g. extra/bigger teeth, red/scarier eyes, claws if your monster doesn’t already have them)

An instinctive knowledge of how many days they have left before the hunger overtakes them
LIEWEN
A minor spell appropriate to the Fourth God (think stealth, control, invasion)

Smallest rooms in the arcade (barely a bed and a radio, you can hear the arcade outside)

Resurrecting inside the arcade after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days)

A small aesthetic cybernetic body modification (e.g. wires, circuit boards, Tron lines)

A death counter plugin on their PC that has a little image of their head with an x00 number of lives lost next to it. If a character were to die more than 99 times, it would simply start over.

TIER TWO

Tier two boons are larger, and are the first true rewards for doing a god's bidding. It represents a character being ready to dedicate themselves to a god's cause. A character might reach tier two by sacrificing a human to their god, successfully converting a neutral character, or performing public deeds in the name of their god. They also must be a follower for at least a month.

FOG
A second power appropriate to the Fog God

A bigger room in Dyster (queen-size bed, windows, storage)

Instant resurrection in Dyster after being killed.

A major body modification (e.g. flightless wings, large horns, extra limbs)

Taking on a new way to feed (flesh, energy, souls). This doesn’t replace your old one, but gives you a second option.
LIEWEN
A second spell appropriate to the Fourth God

A bigger room in the arcade (soundproof, larger, queen-sized bed)

Instant resurrection in the arcade after being killed

A modified fog form. While an alternate form assumed during fog days is available to everyone, a Fourth follower’s fog form may include cybernetic limbs or other changes appropriate to Fourth. This is a result of the Fourth God attempting to remove the Fog’s influence.

Extending the protection of the arcade to a neutral character of the follower’s choosing. That character, upon death, will resurrect in the Arcade after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days). He will never protect a Fog follower.

TIER THREE

You're getting serious. You've got your sleeves firmly rolled up and however much blood you get on your hands in the process, so be it. You've done your action and maybe you balked a little at first, but now that you know what it really takes, you're still all-in.

Tier three rewards are for truly devout followers, and it takes a great act to appease the gods enough to get here. Such acts might include a mass sacrifice of people, the successful conversion of an opposing follower, or killing an opposing follower. (Keep in mind that killing or sacrificing in self-defense, or for their own reasons, does not count - it must be expressly done for their god!)

FOG
A third major power, appropriate to the Fog God

A house in Dyster (the works)

Immortality. Only destroying the brain or the heart can kill a tier three Fog follower.

A new, alternate monster form, subject to mod approval. Some examples would include having a beefed-up fog form (go wild on the horror!), or switching at will to a closely related monster type (e.g. gargoyles into dragons).

Exchanging the cybernetic modification imparted by the Fourth God for an aesthetic monstrous modification of your choice. Please see common monster traits for details about the cybernetic modification.

Increased ferocity and strength and lowered inhibitions while in fog form.

Extending the protection of Dyster to a neutral character of the follower’s choosing. That character, upon death, will resurrect in Dyster after 2-3 days (regardless of fog days). She will never protect a Fourth follower.
LIEWEN
A third major spell, appropriate to the Fourth God

A large room in the arcade (the works)

Instantly resurrect via static in any TV or radio of your choice.

The ability to teleport from one location to another using radios. Monsters only have to touch the radio, and imagine the location where they wish to go. Note that the target location also needs a radio that is turned on.

You can regenerate missing limbs or other body parts while in the arcade, but this will take some time, is painful, and the resulting parts may have a cybernetic look to them.

Removing the biological need for conventional food (not humans), sleep, or even breathing.

Immunity to the memory loss incurred from multiple deaths. This is not a perfect reward, as Fourth is not a true god and has a higher rate of error for difficult abilities. (This is a loophole in case you still want to play out memory loss.)

PRIESTS

You will do anything in service of your god. You are theirs to use as they see fit. You know you're on the right side of history, and you'll do whatever is in your power to make sure your god prospers.

The priests of each god gain unique and powerful abilities. The abilities favored by each god are explained below, but you may request a different power instead if one suits you better. In order to obtain priesthood, a follower must be in tier three, and have been in Ryslig for at least four months. When asking for priesthood, please explain in great detail the lengths to which your character has gone for their god, and the deeds they have done in their name. These will be judged on a case-by-case basis.

Please do not ask in the god prayer boxes for ideas for a Priest offering. Priest offerings must be something you have OOCly devised yourself. You may submit a Priest form with an offering you have already come up with, request the relevant god somehow prompts your character to perform it, and then (if approved) ICly ask in the god prayer box to receive this prompt. However, things your character does entirely on their own initiative will be more highly looked upon by the gods as proof of their devotion and motivation, and are far more likely to qualify as a Priest offering.

FOG
Fog priests are instantly identifiable by their gray capes, made to resemble the Fog God’s long hair. The collar and hem of the cape are frayed, and when the wind blows through them it almost seems like parts of them trail off with it, like the fog itself...but that’s just a trick of the light, right?

When priests speak, their voices have a whisper behind them.

Fog priests may command the fog as they wish, bringing it forth where there is none and manipulating it around them. Gargoyles and trolls shrouded in fog need not fear the sun, and day-blind monsters have perfect vision. A character with a fog form may freely transform in this as well.
LIEWEN
Fourth priests do not have any set outfits, but they are given a unique marking on their hand when accepted by the Fourth. It may be a power symbol, a pattern of wires, or even a symbol from the character’s home world. Whatever it is, it will glow when other Fourth followers are near.

Fourth priests may temporarily stop time in their vicinity, affecting anyone who does not follow the Fourth God. They can also access the rsdos network at will without use of a laptop.

Character Name: Johnny Alpha
Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: Joining up!
Link: Here
Reward Tier: Tier One
Reward Description: - Resurrection inside the Arcade and death counter

- Aesthetic body modification: He gets a neon red outline of an oval about 6 inches tall over his heart, around the same size and positioning as his Search/Destroy badge.

- Instead of a room at the Arcade, he gets a pair of black goggles with mirrored lenses that act like adjustable binoculars, with subtle 4th markings on it and standard magnifications.

- Spell: minor telekinesis, with a weight limitation of 5-10kg. It takes extreme concentration, and he has to look straight at whatever he's moving. It's not meant to be directly weaponized, more for diversions and misdirection than anything. So he wouldn’t be able to pick up and pitch a vase at someone with enough force to injure them, but it might be enough to distract them. Small things like undoing rope knots, pulling a knife into arms reach while his opponent is distracted, or slightly redirecting the force of a blow to put them off balance.

Character Name: Sasuke Uchiha
Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: The desire to join with the Fog God for the express purpose of destroying the false god Liewen and inerting his powers.
Link: Here.
Reward Tier: Tier One
Reward Description:

  • Minor Power: Illusions in the same vein as the Sharingan - can create highly realistic disturbing audiovisual hallucinations affecting humans who make (but don't have to maintain) eye contact. Monsters, especially monsters with keen eyesight, are more likely to be able to see through them.

  • Room in Dyster: Instead, he'd like to restore the broken/decrepit front gate and walk of Uchiha House.

  • Resurrection in Dyster: Yes

  • Body Modification:
    Asks for: His Sharingan
Receives: Eyes shifting to look like the Sharingan (but still with his gargoyle slitted pupils) when using the gargoyle ability to influence the actions of humans, the illusion power outlined above, and other powers in the same vein he intends to collect. Starts with one tomoe in his left eye and two in his right. The shape of the Sharingan will progress as he receives more powers, either from the Fog God or from Mana. The Sharingan appearance also triggers during periods of high stress or when in his Fog Form. If colors that shift back and forth aren't allowed, can his eyes glow red with dark spots during use of his powers/high emotions instead of the iris straight-up changing?

APPROVED on one condition; as a tier one ability it needs to be toned down just a bit! For now, Sasuke MUST maintain eye contact with his victims. Everything else is fine.

His event boon is also fine under these conditions!

The fog welcomes him, gently swirling around his head. But suddenly, it turns bitter cold, and seemingly drives itself into his eyes. There's a brief, sharp tinge of pain, that gradually becomes cool and soothing. As the fog seeps from his sockets, Sasuke will find himself with his new, but familiar power.

Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: Killed A Foggy who was also a conduit! Good job Kira.
Link: Here. The thread did not finish and unfortunately that player isn't here anymore. But the thread was discussed and Kira and IV ended up killing each other.
Reward Tier: Tier 2
Reward Description: Bigger room, instant resurrection, extending protection. New spell.

I'd like Kira to be able to have a spell that activates something like thermal vision. (Much like a power he has in his stand, Sheer Heart Attack) Kira would be able to use it to see the if there are people in a particular area/building. For the living they'd light up in oranges/yellows/reds and for our undead friends they'd be in blues and greens. The range of this would be about three meters or so. Enough range to peek into a house for some tasty victims~

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): If he uses it too long or too often in a short period it causes temporary blindness. Kira you dingus.

ALIGNMENT UPDATE

[personal profile] godofnothingness 2017-06-05 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
TIER 3 FOURTH --> NEUTRAL... At best, details being as follows:

At the time Loki ditches his key, he will be speaking with the Fog God. Depending on the answer to his last question, he will either go entirely neutral OR defect and become a Tier one follower of the Fog.

If and when that happens, I will either edit this comment OR just reply to it with a form, as well as an idea for Loki' consequences (which, naturally, would no doubt vary between if he merely goes neutral or turncoat.)

As it is, this means that Effective June 5th (when Loki returns to check his fallen key in Dyster), Loki will have lost ALL Fourth Boons.
godofnothingness: (I...think...I remember this...)

TIER 1 FOG TIME-

[personal profile] godofnothingness 2017-08-13 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
After a fair amount of discussion with the other player involved in the recruitment thread, it was eventually determined that while the Fog God's answer will affect the dedication Loki displays toward her, he will be joining no matter what!

Given that I've left this hanging for a Heck of a long time though, I'm imposing my own personal 'OOC consequence' to hopefully make up for it; namely the personal restriction that Loki not be able to try for Tier 2 until at least a month after the OOC approval of the boons, despite the IC timing being....two months back.

Proposed(?) Consequences of Leaving the Fourth God while we're at it-
  • Extreme Withdrawal symptoms; he was a tier 3 follower, so it's expected there'd be some backlash from the sudden separation from a god here.
  • Immediate loss of boons; speaks for itself. This ended in his 'healed' boons via the Tier 3 level immediately disintegrating...if it wasn't for Nagisa being there, he'd probably have died as a result.

    Character Name: Loki
    Alignment: FOG
Offering Description: Joining on after awkward shouting at clouds in Spooky Abandoned Dyster
Link: Technically he was hers as soon as he said 'if you'll have me', he's just still being irritated by that One Thing
    Reward Tier: Tier 1
    Reward Description:
  • Minor body modification (Nucleus resembles a bloodied 'moon', bringing a cloudy trail of 'blood' as it moves through Loki's slime)
  • Resurrection within Dyster after 2-3 days of death
  • Instinctive knowledge of personal hunger and hunting methods
  • A small home in Dyster-presumably close to all the town activity. You can deal with being kept awake by chanting and fog prayers, Loki. Not to mention, their ~Supervision~
  • Minor Power: Textured Camouflage/Hardening Slime - Technically the same power, with one being a consequence of the other, it's a minor upgrade to shapeshifting that allows Loki to alter the actual texture of his slime.

'But Usagi, isn't that more of a stealthy sneaky thing?!' NO sort of- The idea is actually more to enhance the legitimacy of spooky scary forms-it's easier to scare the pants off someone if you can, however briefly, actually Block them while in your weird shape instead of watching something sink through you. (Likewise, how scary is it when the wall you swore was a wall suddenly starts pulling you in!)

Obviously while he can harden enough to block stuff it's not like he can. Deflect a bullet though. It's more like having a thin layer of china over everything, so it's not actually useful as a defense.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): Loki's sudden turn over isn't something the Fog God is just assuming would go well-she's been bitten that way before after all, so as much as she would never turn away one of her 'children', she's probably not going to just hand them a sword.

Fortunately, Loki's state of being at the time worked well for that! Being largely human at the time, none of the granted boons would have come into being by then. In fact, they won't function at all until he's fully transformed (outside the physical one, obviously). Aside from that, it might...take a few weeks before the Dyster citizens stop eyeing him somewhat warily. He did kind of have a hand in the destruction of the Obelisk after all, however 'indirectly'.

    Reward Tier: Tier One!
    Reward Description:
Minor power: The ability to create up to three little balls of foxfire (via breath), in a random color each time; two can be placed in world, but the third can only be used kinda like a flashlight by floating in front of her face, a la kitsune of myth. Putting one down after two are already placed makes the oldest one disappear. They act a little like in-world "markers", in that as long as Ibuki's close enough (for now, perhaps a range the size of Bavan, or just half?) she can sense where they are and use them to find her way around, because fuck if she isn't bad at getting lost even in her own home. Seeing one or being near one if you're a Fog follower encourages a sense of safety, while for Fourth followers it gives off the feeling that they shouldn't be there, wherever they are. Neutrals are unaffected. The balls of fire give off no heat, and she can't choose what color they are. But they might make a little windchime sound, just to be atmospheric.

    Room in Dyster
    Resurrection in Dyster

Minor body mod: Two little oni-like horns about the length of one's hand, coming from the forehead. If it's alright, it would be cool if they could change as she does, being a Werewolf; being a shade of red during the day and shifting to a shade of blue at night. If not, then they're simply that shade of red.

    Reward Description:
  • Room in Dyster
  • Resurrecting inside Dyster

  • A minor power: in a similar vein to his powers as a lich, the ability to shut down the part of the prefrontal cortex that controls impulse control; it would sort of act like a huge amount of alcohol all at once and leave whoever has been hit with it more likely to do the things they want but for whatever reason normally wouldn’t. It would be more effective on humans, less so on monsters (as the IC reason for player discretion).

He would have to maintain physical contact with the victim for 3+ seconds and not be using another power at the same time. It can last up to four hours, but can’t be used on the same person for seven days.

    Character Name: Clarence
    Alignment: Fourth
    Offering Description: Four human sacrifices
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: Second tier
Reward Description: Instant resurrection, larger room at the Arcade, and an additional power. Clarence would gain the ability to telepathically connect with one person at a time. The connection must be forged in person, but can endure regardless of distance for up to 24 hours or until Clarence severes it. When this connnection is active, Clarence will be able to project his voice into the person's head, read their emotions and pick up on the occasional stray thought. Unfortunately, the person would ALSO be able to pick up stray thoughts and emotions from Clarence. He can only connect with one person at a time.

-Whirlwind: He can use his wings to shoot off small bursts of damaging winds. It’s very concentrated and focused so it’s not anything hugely damaging to a surrounding area… but it still has definite use within combat against a single enemy.

    -A small room in Dyster.

-Possibility for resurrection in Dyster (though it may not always happen)

    -No body modifications

    Offering Description: Human sacrifice
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: 2
Reward Description: Larger room in Dyster, instant resurrection, a second power, and the ability to feed by draining energy.

For his second power, Katurian will have the ability to make living shadow puppets. He will accomplish this by shapeshifting his hands and then releasing the shadows from his body. Shadow puppets behave autonomously, although they will obey spoken orders. Since they arise from his hands, he can only create two at a time. They can only be destroyed by light exposure, but physically attacking them will also hurt Katurian, since they're part of his body. The shadow puppets can be as mundane or as horrifying as Katurian makes them, but can only attack with their teeth.

    Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: Behold... AN X-BOX ONE X- i mean, uh, A JAR OF FOG AND DIRT. TWO JARS EVEN.

Basically, aside from absolute devotion that has at times rivaled and occasionally even beaten out the Priests, Reira shows an amount of personal care for the 4th that drives her to even try offering her own power and strength to 'restore' the park to something he can enjoy or at the least gain strength from-this in itself doesn't do Squat, but the gesture is enough that he requests a jar of dirt from 'abandoned' Dyster and a jar of fog from 'actual' Dyster...

She Succeeded. and got chased around by Madoka for her troubles WOAO-OH

    Reward Description:
  • Fancy Hand Symbol (It says it glows when Fourth Followers are near, but I'm wondering if maybe it can change intensity according to proximity/number of followers around?) - I'M....STILL WORKING ON THE DESIGN but it'll be covering the palm around to the back of the hand, rather like a glove; these cards are involved, design-wise...
  • Time Stop Ability - ...get ready for the Worst use of power Ever also presumably the time limit is some multiple of 4
  • BRAIN INTERNET - this can't possibly go wrong

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): Since her fog form right now is sort of more on the level of 'wow Reira that must hurt', if I could take this moment for Elias to -ahem- 'redesign' the fancy Fourth-FogMode into something more thematically appropriate that'd be super. OTHERWISE I GUESS SHE'S STUCK BEING A MESSED UP CLOCKWORK TESLA CAROUSEL ALPACA...

    Offering Description: Killed a Fourthie.
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: Tier 3
    Reward Description:
    - Third major power: In the spirit of "destruction" and one of the traps she designed in canon, how about literal (finger)nail bombs? She'd be able to detach her fingernails at will and use them as remotely-detonated mini explosives. After pulling them out the nails would regrow over the course of a day, but both the removal (despite coming off fairly easily) and regrowth would cause her pain.
    - A house in Dyster
    - "Immortality" unless her heart or brain is destroyed
    - Alternate monster form: I'd like to give her a powered-up fog form. It would involve more industrial-style metal pieces in the style of Jigsaw devices (metal prongs bolted to her ribs like in the angel trap, the full reverse bear trap on her head, other stuff inspired by canon devices), a lot more needles sticking out of her...I don't have a clear mental image yet, but I could submit a more detailed design for specific approval as a reply to this thread once I think one up, if needed?
    - Increased strength/ferocity/etc while in Fog form
    - Extension of the protection of Dyster to a neutral follower: Amanda would choose Susan Delgado. Player permission was granted here.

eta i forgot 'alt monster form' was part of everything uuuh I will get back to yall on this so let's say nah on that for now.

SPELL: MAX WILL POWER. Can use on himself or transfer to someone else via touch--basically just makes it incredibly hard to slow someone down when they are in a fight or doing a task (even painting!!) So even something like poison or spells will have a lesser effect or be extremely delayed. Downside, if Mike uses it for someone else, he's just fucking ko'd while they go at it. And if he uses it on himself, he's gonna be out like a light once the he's done or maybe forced to revert back to human or his 10% furry form? Am up for tweaking that if need be.
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): Explained up there!

    Character Name: Clarence
    Alignment: Fourth
Offering Description: Killed a Fog Follower
    Link: Here.
    Reward Tier: 3
    Reward Description:
    - Third major power: hivemind creation. This is a strengthened combination of his first two Fourth-given abilities: marionetting and mental linking. Clarence will be able to form a hivemind with up to five humans at a time. Although the connection must be forged in person, it can persist indefinitely or until the human dies. Members of the hivemind will lose their original personality and effectively become zombies that Clarence can control as he wishes. (See: The Infected.) This ability CANNOT be used on monsters.

    Character Name:Judai Yuki
    Alignment: Tier 3
Offering Description: He offers Bavan as tribute in wide-scale worship after poisoning the water supply and working with Amanda and Noa to make projections of the Fog God. Although initially meant to be a form of recruiting, it's ended up as mainly as a wide-scale terror attack that's affected many individuals. That being said, some people are now looking into the Fog God and her favour.
Link: I think two monsters even got married in her church.
    Reward Tier: 3
Reward Description: -Tier 3 Spell: Upgrade Curse of Darkness to Nightmare Incarnate. Judai's darkness powers are at their peak. Although they are still more effective in the night/fog, Judai can envelop up to a 15m radius in pitch blackness regardless of the time of day. Within the darkness, Judai can either naturally force the flight response (as the spell did before) or create illusionary monsters to attack people (usually resembling Evil Heroes and seeming to spawn form his dueling arm/deck). The beasts aren't actually there and if someone was looking in from the outside through the darkness they won't be able to see it, but the beasts cause real damage to whomever is there and can cause death with player permission. Judai must be within the darkness field at all times to send beasts to attack but can leave the field freely he's only making people run/feel fear.

-Replacement tier 2 spell: Solar Blade. To counteract the fact Judai really feels like a villain, Judai will ask for a weapon based on the sun and the sun's energy for his own protection. The spell will let Judai magically summon a blade which is treated like a normal, if not beautifully well-made, sword unless left in the sunlight for a day.

Like its name suggests, the Solar Blade must absorb the sunlight before it can use any magical properties, though it can store energy for long periods of time. If the sunlight is absorbed then, whenever Judai commands it, he can make it glow with the light of the sun (and it is treated as sunlight rather than artificial light) or let out one wave of fire from slashing the air. The fire completely depletes the energy that's in Judai's blade regardless, so if he uses it, he must recharge it again.

-Alternate fog form and all its consequences: The Nuckelavee. The final design isn't settled but it would be based on that.

-Also the house in Dyster (the works) and the immortality too please.

Backfire: Judai's sanity is gone Judai will ask the Fog if he has any need of him to eliminate any obstacle, all she need do is ask. He believes the Fog God is righteous now, even if he wants a way back home internally.

    Character Name: Oliver Hampton
    Alignment: Fourth
    Offering Description: N/A
    Link: N/A
Reward Tier: 1 (staying the same)
Reward Description: Switching his previous ability from one that keeps his anger in check to one that will help him defend himself. He doesn't have the same problems with vengefulness as a faerie that caused him to ask for this, but I've only just figured out something a little more useful.
Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): Oliver's not the best at combat so he will ask for a spell that inflicts damage back on those who hurt him.

However, as reluctant a follower as he is he hasn't earned anything anywhere near that powerful. Instead if he's hurt his attacker will not receive actual damage, only a fraction of the pain inflicted. A forceful punch to the eye would result only in mild pain. A stab to his vital organs would cause significant pain in that area for the one who'd stabbed him, but would not incapacitate them in any way. It would be a similar sensation to having stitch. This ability can be used once per day for a maximum of five minutes. Pain from minor injuries will fade quicker than this, but any remaining pain from more severe injuries will fade after this time.

If this spell feels too Foggy the Fourth could grant him the ability to slow someone down to 1/2 (or 3/4) speed for up to five minutes or freeze them completely for one minute once per day.
expectional: The only "high" I need is the natural rush you get from committing a murder. (despair ☾ Drugs? No thanks.)

    Character Name: Nagisa Shingetsu
    Alignment: Fog
Offering Description: Converted two opposing followers (Loki and Kain), helped set up Jataro's diorama and offered 8 souls as a sacrifice
Link: Loki Conversion, Kain conversion pt.1, Kain Conversion pt.2, Sacrifice Diorama Set Up, Sacrifice Diorama End Result
    Reward Description:
    Reward Tier: Tier 3
-Third power: Hope Pollen v3; The range of effectiveness remains unchanged and the pollen still has to be inhaled in order to work, but it can now last for up to three hours and Nagisa is capable of controlling whether to use it for hope of despair. To an extent, at least, as the pollen will still never hurt a Fog follower or heal a Fourth. He can use it twice a day with no side effects, but any usage after that will completely bottom out his hunger. So in theory, there is no upper limit on the number of times he can generate it, he just has to consume a soul or a body within an hour or so afterwards. "Hope" effects: More or less completely rejuvenates a person. Capable of healing cuts, bruises, burns, broken bones, poisons, and even certain types of fatal wounds if he can get to them fast enough. (reasonable stuff like stabs or gunshots where death is not instantaneous. If someone gets their head cut off they're just out of luck, nor can he bring someone back if they've already died. He also cannot counteract monster weaknesses like silver.) They will be fully energized and filled with a strong sense of hope. "Despair" effects: Remain more or less unchanged from tier 2. The only thing that's different is that victims may be driven to attack others, not just themselves. Some might also hallucinate. It really just depends on how the individual is affected when they are incapable of feeling anything other than despair. They will not, however, do anything to hurt Nagisa, mentally or physically. Some individuals may even feel a twisted sense of devotion towards him, though he is NOT capable of actual mind control.
-Second power replacement: magic underwater breathing a la kelpies; Does not come with increased underwater senses and provides only enough water pressure immunity to allow him to reach the bottom of lakes and go through the tunnels and stuff on the underwater map. So he has to be careful about how deep he goes in the ocean.
-First power replacement: paralytic venom; replaces the sleep venom in his claws, renders the victim completely incapable of movement for up to an hour. (His teeth will still only produce the regular nymph sleep venom)

-House in Dyster: I'd like to have his pocket dimension expanded instead. Would going from the size of a bedroom to the size of a one bedroom apartment be okay? All other properties of the pocket dimension would remain the same, he'd just have more space in his little videogame logic forest.
-Immortality save for the destruction of heart/brain
-Alternate monster form: water nymph; by removing his laurel "crown", Nagisa will undergo a transformation that will change all of his plants into water plants/seaweeds. It'll probably involve a skin color change too, idk the design is still a work in progress, but it'll all be purely aesthetic, as was okay'd here. In order to change back, he has to remove his lotus pad "hat". (and by "remove" I mean he has to actually rip these plants out of his head because they're definitely embedded in his skin)
-Minor body modification: a nictitating membrane that can be used to give his eyes the appearance of a spacescape, and function like goggles in his water nymph form. They do nothing to enhance or hinder his sight out of the water, they just look spooky and keep dust and dirt out of his eyeballs.

-Extended protection: Sort of, possibly. We're planning on having Nagisa and Jataro buy a treehouse city from Mana, and we'd like to place it in Lager Woods. If/when they end up doing this, would it be possible for them to trade BOTH their standard tier 3 Dyster protection for corruption immunity to any neutral person who lives in the city? Or to clear the fog within the city limits? Whichever the Fog god would be more inclined to do.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): nah, though he'll be a kelpie from 9/13-10/12 so ic'ly he wouldn't be able to receive his boons until he changes back. And if the protection one is fine, obviously that wouldn't kick in until they actually buy the city.

Power: "Living Ink." Expanding on his ability to control ink like water, this power would allow him to create creatures or things in air and imbue them with magic to "bring them to life". Meaning if he drew a tiger, it would become a living ink tiger, and could bite, scratch, etc just as well as a real tiger could. To do this, he'd have to use a special ink of which he has a limited quantity of, meaning he could only have so many creatures or things "in use" at a time (three tigers, two tigers and a few dozen little baby ducklings, swimming with lots of little ink guppies, etc etc. Essentially he can never use more ink than he has, and would have to give up one creature to create a different one if he's "out".)

The ink itself would be kept in a special container that he would be able to carry with him without trouble (a flask at his side for example, though not necessarily something that small), and would never run out or run dry. Possibly made of fog??? Special magic fog ink.

Alternative Form: A kraken! His alternative form will be that of a kraken child, giving him a beak, tentacles everywhere, and octopus legs 24/7 rather than human legs out of water/fish tail in water. As well as various other frightening kraken features. If possible, I'd like to extend or switch his retractable claws for retractable spikes hidden in the suckers of his tentacles.

Backfire (for abilities characters wouldn't ask for ICly): No real backfires but if his boons could be delayed similar to Nagisa's, so they can receive them together, that'd be preferred!

Before we can make a decision, we'd like a couple of clarifications!

1.) How large are you requesting the house to be?

2.) Living ink: what kind of things can Jataro create and bring to life with the ink? We're curious about the limitations this power would have.

Body Mod: A flexible “tail” of braided cables.

Power: Restricted to solely fog periods, Sora would be able to shift between his fog and regular forms at will. This doesn’t guarantee that he’d be able to control himself while in his fog form, but nonetheless makes for a useful tool in espionage.

Also this power would be completely negated (or otherwise nigh-impossible to use) in Lager Woods due to the fog there being much more powerful.
