TROLL

BASIC INFO Trolls are large, aggressive creatures feared for their potential to unleash massive physical strength. Trolls tend to prefer living underground or in caves, and while they aren't usually associated with magic, they are quite adept at mimicry. MANDATORY CHANGES ● Either long, pointed ears or long, droopy ears. ● Thick, hard claws in place of fingernails and toenails. ● Between one and six rough, bumpy horns on their head. ● Rocky or crystal-like protrusions on their upper arms, back, and shoulders. ● The ability to grow in size, up to twenty feet in height. They also become proportionately stronger as they grow, causing them to be feared for their massive strength. This ability can only be used for the cumulative duration of one hour a day. ● An affinity for mimicry. Trolls can, for the cumulative duration of one hour a day, disguise themselves as any person, monster, or creature they've seen. The disguise is illusory in nature and thus will not include the abilities of whoever they choose to disguise themselves as, but the Troll won't be more vulnerable when disguised either. ● The ability to willingly enter a berserker state. They will, temporarily, try to attack pretty much everything they see (the urge to attack loved ones can be lessened with practice) but become stronger, nearly invulnerable, and unable to tire while they are in this state as well. ● Night vision. Trolls spend a lot of time underground, and their eyes can see very well in this darkness. ● Weakness to sunlight. Direct exposure will weaken a Troll, and in general Trolls prefer to be out at night or underground. Fire does not have the same effect. ● A need to feed on human flesh. If the Troll goes too long without eating, they will enter the berserker state against their will until they do. [back to top] OPTIONAL CHANGES ● Any psychological changes are welcome! Feel free to pull from real world myths, canon creatures of this variety, or any other source! ● A fog form. This is an exaggerated version of their monster form that appears only during the fog and is a chance to make your monster more "horrifying" during the fog. ● Stealth form: the ability to take the form of a rock no larger than an average cat. In this form, the character will look like a normal rock and while they can still talk, they will be able to blend into their surroundings most effectively. Unlike other monsters, they will be less vulnerable in this form, but may have difficulty moving around without assistance. ● Thicker skin with a rougher, more rocky texture. ● Rocky or crystal-like protrusions on any other part of the body. ● Sharper, longer lower canine teeth, which stick out even when the mouth is closed. ● Long fur on any part of the body. ● A tail, which can resemble pretty much any animal. ● Either an extra set of eyes or a single eye which, when opened, can see heat signatures. ● Control over rocks, and boulders. Trolls can not only make them move on their own to use as weapons, but have no trouble creating cave tunnels in mountains, clubs, or even sculptures with this ability. ● An aggressive nature. Trolls can be quick to anger and tend to lash out physically. [back to top] ALLOWED SPECIES A Troll's body can be made up out of multiple types of stones and semi-precious stones. However, there may only be one type of precious stone worked into the body. (Precious stones are diamonds, emeralds, rubies and sapphires.) The tail can come from any type of animal.
