CENTAUR

◉ NAVIGATION

CENTAUR
BASIC INFO

Born from a natural imbalance and the Fog's inability to turn her beloved child into a full monster with the little power She currently has, the Centaur is half-monster, half-human. With a powerful animalistic lower body, the Centaur is fast and temperamental.

MANDATORY CHANGES

● The Centaur's upper body remains humanoid, while everything from the waist down is a different creature. This may either be fully animal in nature, or may be some other monster type.

● Centaurs must always have at least four legs. Even if their lower body is based on a legless animal or monster, limbs which match the being's aesthetic will be attached to allow for running.

● A great sprinting speed. Centaurs are some of the fastest monsters on foot.

● Powerful kicks. A kick from a Centaur is so powerful, it can shatter bones.

● A low tolerance to alcohol. Unlike other monsters, Centaurs get drunk very easily.

● A weakness to poison and venom. It's no longer player discretion for Centaurs; a single drop of either poison or venom is lethal.

● A violent temper.

● A strong hunting instinct. When the Centaur is hungry, they may be compelled to chase humans down and isolate them from a group through purposeful herding and circling.

● The Centaur feeds on human flesh. The fresher it is, the more it will sate them.
OPTIONAL CHANGES

● Any psychological changes are welcome! Feel free to pull from real world myths, canon creatures of this variety, or any other source!

● A fog form. This is an exaggerated version of their monster form that appears only during the fog and is a chance to make your monster more "horrifying" during the fog.

● A long, non-prehensile tail.

● The Centaur's humanoid face may still develop features based on the lower body, so long as the changes are discreet. For example, a lion centaur may have ears to match. Or a snout, or hair resembling a lion's mane. Please keep in mind that the upper body and face must still be mostly human, in keeping with the spirit of Centaur.

● The Centaur's arms may still develop features based on the lower body, so long as the changes are discreet. For example, a lizard centaur may have patches of scales intermingled with their skin, or long and slender fingers, or claw-like fingernails. Please keep in mind that the upper body and face must still be mostly human, in keeping with the spirit of Centaur.

● Since the Fog is struggling to grant monsters their new anatomy, some Centaurs may end up with twisted or deformed bodies. Think a leg with two kneecaps, or a missing hoof.

● One or more of the Centaur's limbs may develop a mind of its own, leading to involuntary kicks or tail-swatting.

● A Centaur may have wings to match their lower body. However, these will not be capable of proper flight.

ADDITIONAL INFO & TRAITS

Sea creature Centaurs can hold their breath up to ten minutes underwater, but unfortunately they cannot breathe underwater.

No extra powers apart from the ones listed above. This includes special unique traits (extra poison, special fur, etc) the creature your monster is based on would have. If you are unsure, ask in the FAQ (the link is below)

ALLOWED SPECIES

Any species. This includes Ryslig monster types, and even humanoids, so long as the rule of four leg minimum is adhered to (if necessary by adding (more) legs). Creatures exclusive to a character's homeworld are also allowed.
