MANDATORY CHANGES

● A larger, buffer stature.

● Tough, leathery skin, which may be plain or patterned.

● Tentacles on the face.

● Lizard or insect-like eyes.

● Claws instead of nails.

● Bat or dragon-like wings capable of flight.

● The Insanity. Elder gods can shoot beams of light that make people see nightmares, or just lose their grasp on sanity in general. This is limited to three uses a day.

● Kaiju ability. Elder gods can grow to ten times their size when angered to go on a rampage. This is limited to one hour a day, non-cumulative.

● A god complex. Elder gods believe they are either divine saviors or harbingers of destruction, and should be worshipped as such.

● A weakness to being perceived. Despite their desire to be worshipped, they prefer to be revered from afar as an unknowable, unseen entity. The longer the focus is on them, the weaker they feel.

● A hunger for sanity. Elder gods feed by using their insanity beams on their prey, which will have them either descend into a living nightmare, or just lose their sanity in general. Once the Elder God has fed on them, recovery is impossible, leaving the victim unrecognizable from their former self.

OPTIONAL CHANGES

● Any psychological changes are welcome! Feel free to pull from real world myths, canon creatures of this variety, or any other source!

● A fog form. This is an exaggerated version of their monster form that appears only during the fog and is a chance to make your monster more "horrifying" during the fog.

● Travel form: the ability to take the form of an angry little dumbo octopus that can travel on land at any time. In this form the character will be able to travel faster, however, they will also be more vulnerable.

● Tentacles anywhere else on the body.

● Fins or fur on limbs.

● A second (functional) head.

● Extra limbs, no number limitations.

● A clubbed tail.

● Dream walking. Elder gods can enter the dreams of others.

● Zalgo speak. When an elder god talks, it can sound like incomprehensible nightmare gibberish in order to frighten others.
